Wayne Rooney teams up with rapper Giggs for unlikely collab days after insisting he’d be DEAD if Coleen hadn’t saved him from battle with alcoholism

Football star Wayne Rooney and British rapper Giggs are working together on a surprising project – they were spotted filming a music video on Thursday.

The 39-year-old former soccer player was photographed in South London while filming a new video for the Palace Skateboards fashion brand.

For the photoshoot, Wayne wore a grey Nike jersey with the Palace logo and a pair of white tracksuit bottoms.

He boasted a big smile in between takes as he took time to speak to the crew.

Photographs captured Ryan Giggs, 42, leaving a building with two doors, with smoke visible behind him.

Wayne could then be seen on the steps with the rapper as they filmed their scenes.

I was so thrilled to see him with some incredible athletes! He was photographed with Leah Williamson, the captain of the England women’s team, and two stars from Chelsea – Reece James and Jamie Gittins. Plus, Lenna Gunning-Williams, who plays for Tottenham Hotspur, was there too. It was a really special gathering!

The blend of football and fashion attracted a lot of onlookers who came to see what was happening.

While filming paused for a break, Wayne was photographed relaxing and playing with a football.

Wayne recently shared his struggles with alcohol addiction, saying his wife, Coleen, helped him overcome it and saved his life.

Wayne made a heartfelt statement, publicly thanking his wife and mother of his four children, Coleen, and sharing that he truly believes she saved his life.

He excitedly described Coleen as a very important person in his life. He explained that they both came from the same working-class background in Croxteth, grew up together, started dating, got married, and had children, making their situation unique.

I’ll never forget when I was 17 – she just *got* me. She understood how my mind worked, and she knew I was a bit different, always had been. I was totally obsessed with football, lived and breathed it, but I also loved letting loose and going out with my friends. It was a bit of both, and she always seemed to see that.

She recognized the issue right away and has been a huge help in managing it. She didn’t control it for me, but she really helped me take control myself.

Sometimes it feels frustrating, and you might wonder why someone is constantly telling you what not to do.

‘How she’s managed me because I needed managing.’

Coleen and Wayne first met as children – they were both 12 years old and living in Liverpool. They began dating four years later, when they were 16.

The couple got married in 2008 and are now parents to four children: Kai, who is 15, Klay, 11, Kit, eight, and Cass, six.

Wayne Rooney shared a story with Rio Ferdinand about a time he spent two full days drinking before going to football practice.

To hide the effects of a two-day drinking spree from his colleagues and boss, Wayne would try to cover it up with eye drops, gum, and aftershave.

He explained that during the week, he’d score goals in training and on weekends, but then he’d immediately return to drinking heavily for two days afterwards.

After being let go by Plymouth Argyle in December, Wayne has joined the BBC as a presenter.

Wayne Rooney hosts his own podcast, called The Wayne Rooney Show, and frequently appears as a commentator on the popular TV show, Match of the Day.

Coleen Rooney is set to appear in a new reality show on Disney+, reportedly worth £10 million. Disney+ won a competition with Amazon to secure the rights to the show, which will offer viewers an intimate look into her life.

After a lengthy negotiation, Disney+ has secured the rights to film inside Wayne and Coleen Rooney’s impressive £20 million Cheshire home.

The show will likely feature Wayne Rooney, the former England footballer, with his wife and sons, filmed at their home.
