Wayne Rooney was seen looking disheveled while partying with two unidentified women at a pre-BRIT Awards event in Manchester on Saturday night. Reports suggest the party continued into the early morning hours.
The 40-year-old retired soccer player, who is married, had trouble keeping his pants up as he left the hotel restroom. He was with a group of friends, including singer Callum Scott.
Photos published by The Sun show him spending around two hours drinking and chatting with a group of women. He then left with one of them, and they each drove off in separate cars around 3:25 AM.
Someone in the crowd wondered what Wayne Rooney’s wife, Coleen, would make of the situation, and another person said he appeared to be struggling.
Wayne and Coleen have been married since 2008 and have four sons: Kai, 16, Klay, 12, Kit, 10, and Cass, 8.
Someone told us that when people saw Wayne, they immediately wondered what his wife, Coleen, would think about it. She wasn’t around at the time.
‘He seemed like he was having a laugh and joking around with the women’.
He walked off by himself and went outside, where a small crowd had formed. He got into a car, and about eight minutes later, a taxi arrived to pick up the woman.
Daily Mail have contacted Wayne Rooney’s representatives for comment.
Wayne shared last year that he credits his wife with saving him from alcoholism and helping him stop drinking, stating he wouldn’t be alive today without her support.
Coleen has faced public accusations of infidelity involving her husband, which gained widespread attention when he was discovered visiting prostitutes during his teenage years.
In 2004, shortly after 18-year-old Wayne joined Manchester United, reports surfaced alleging he paid £140 for sexual services from 21-year-old Charlotte Glover.
He was also accused of having sexual encounters with Gina McCarrick, age 37 at the time, and Patricia Tierney, a 48-year-old grandmother, at a Liverpool brothel.
Devastated Coleen stood by her man but didn’t comment publicly on the claims.
In a 2023 documentary about her husband’s life and football career on Amazon Prime, Coleen openly talked about his infidelity.
She thanked her parents, Colette and Tony, for always being there for her. She also shared that a major reason she stayed in her marriage, despite Wayne’s infidelity and struggles with alcohol, was for the sake of their children.
Honestly, it’s like, when she’s figuring things out, she has to tune everyone else out. It’s so frustrating seeing all the noise – everyone questioning her choices, like, ‘Why would she ever go back to him?’ It’s her life, and she needs to do what she wants, not what everyone else thinks she should!
I’m really lucky to have my parents – they always help me see the bright side of things. They’ve taught me that we can tackle anything if we just approach it calmly and figure out a solution together, and honestly, that’s become my go-to approach. We’ve always been able to make things work. We’re not overly sentimental, more of a family who enjoys a good laugh and just naturally work well as a team.
