Watch the trailer for “unbelievable” true story crime drama with stacked cast

The renowned studio, Paramount, unveiled the teaser for the blockbuster Roofman, an action-packed crime thriller that’s inspired by a bizarre true tale and boasts a stellar cast.

The movie chronicles the story of an ex-army ranger facing financial hardships, ultimately choosing a desperate path by robbing McDonald’s outlets to support his loved ones.

A key aspect of his approach is puncturing openings in the rooftops, which led to him being known by the title of the movie.

From that point onwards, events became increasingly strange. He managed to break free from prison and spent the next six months hiding in a local toy store (similar to Toys ‘R’ Us).

The trailer suggests that a significant portion of the movie unfolds within a store, with flashbacks showing past McDonald’s robberies and a prison break. Throughout his daily routine, he employs his understanding of the surveillance system to evade notice and monitor the employees.

However, the trailer unveils a twist in his scheme, as he unexpectedly develops feelings for a female coworker at the store.

He introduces himself and a romance starts to form, but it might prove to be his undoing.

As a gamer, I’d put it this way:

“I’m stepping into the shoes of Channing Tatum, who plays Jeffrey Manchester in the movie, with Kirsten Dunst from ‘Civil War’ as my love interest, Leigh. The star-studded cast also includes Peter Dinklage from ‘The Toxic Avenger’, Juno Temple known for her role in ‘Ted Lasso’, Ben Mendelsohn from ‘Andor’, Uzo Aduba from ‘The Residence’, Tony Revolori famous for his part in ‘Spider-Man’, and LaKeith Stanfield, who graced our screens in ‘Knives Out’.

During an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Tatum shared that because Manchester spent 40 years in prison, they never got the chance to meet each other in person. However, they’ve had numerous lengthy conversations over the phone.

The actor expressed, “I truly wish Jeff enjoys the film. He’s had his share of regrettable choices, which is undeniable. Yet, he’s often the one to admit it. I just see him as an exceptionally lovely yet unlucky individual.

He admitted that many of the filming locations were authentic places where the story unfolded, and real individuals who played significant roles in the events are portrayed in the movie as well.

Roofman is coming to theatres soon.

The first printed issue from Digital Spy is out! You can grab a copy of “British Comedy Legends” from your local newsstands or online stores, currently available for only £3.99.
