Watch the powerful trailer for Pierce Brosnan’s “inspiring” ’90s-set British biopic

The recently announced biographical film, titled “Giant,” featuring Pierce Brosnan and Amir El-Masry, has unveiled its official trailer.

Drawing inspiration from the true-life tale of boxing legend Prince Naseem Hamed (El-Masry), this sports movie will delve into the evolving relationship between Hamed and his longtime trainer Brendan Ingle (Brosnan), who guided him throughout their 16-year partnership.

The movie narrates the heartwarming story of a man who transformed from a modest start in Sheffield to a world champion boxer and global sports legend in the 1990s. The film delves into the unexpected and affectionate bond between this athlete, named Naz, and his Irish boxing coach, Brendan Ingle. It also highlights how Ingle significantly contributed to Naz’s journey towards triumph.

Currently, a release date has yet to be determined, but fans will be able to see Giant in cinemas.

This movie was both written and directed by Rowan Athale, featuring Katherine Dow Blyton, Isabelle Bonfrer, and Arian Nik in the cast. In addition, renowned actor Sylvester Stallar, who is known for his roles in ‘Rocky’ and ‘Creed’, serves as an executive producer for this production.

Actor Brosnan, fresh off his successful run in the praised show “MobLand“, is set for a bustling year ahead. He’ll be busy promoting “Giant” and, at the same time, preparing for the cinema release of “The Thursday Murder Club” on August 22 in selected UK cinemas. The series will then debut on Netflix on August 28.

The movie is adapted from Richard Osman’s hit novel and revolves around a group of friends residing in a retirement home who decide to solve an old crime together. Featuring an impressive ensemble cast, Liam Neeson joins forces with Judi Dench, Jeremy Irons, and Maggie Smith in this intriguing murder mystery tale.

In this movie, Chris Columbus served as the director while Steven Spielberg took on the role of producer. The main group is accompanied by Richard E. Grant, Jonathan Pryce, David Tennant, and Naomi Ackie, who each play significant side characters.
