Watch The Handmaid’s Tale final season trailer: “This is the beginning of the end”

In simple terms, “The Handmaid’s Tale” returns for its sixth and concluding season, as suggested by the freshly unveiled preview, which hints at an uprising against the regime of Gilead.

In the trailer, June Osborne, portrayed by Elisabeth Moss, is depicted orchestrating an uprising of Handmaids against their oppressive government. Meanwhile, Serena Waterford, played by Yvonne Strahovski, strives to restructure the state of Gilead as the rebellion gains momentum.

In a simpler rewording: Luke (O-T Fagbenle) and Moira (Samira Wiley) choose to become part of the rebellion, whereas Commander Nick Blaine (Max Minghella) and Aunt Lydia (Ann Dowd) experience the fallout from their decisions.

In this concluding phase of June’s odyssey, we see how vital hope, bravery, unity, and tenacity are when striving for justice and liberty.

In a thrilling turn of events, the upcoming series, debuting with the first three episodes on April 8, welcomes back Madeline Brewer as Janine and Bradley Whitford as Commander Lawrence for a climactic final chapter.

Additionally, it should be noted that this series also signifies the departure of showrunner Bruce Miller. He is now focused on creating the sequel series for “The Handmaid’s Tale,” titled “The Testaments.” In his absence, the roles will be taken up by Eric Tuchman and Yahlin Chang, who have previously contributed to the drama as writers and executive producers.

In September, Miller made it official that the sixth season would mark the end of the series, stating: “It has been an incredible honor to adapt Margaret Atwood’s groundbreaking novel and the eerily relevant world into a TV show. We are excited to present viewers with a sixth and concluding season of ‘The Handmaid’s Tale’.

We appreciate Hulu and MGM for letting us share this timeless story, which sadly continues to be as pertinent as when it first began. We’re amazed by our amazing fans who have stood by us every step of the way, and without their steadfast backing, we wouldn’t be where we are today.

As a devoted gamer, I can’t wait to catch up on the captivating narrative of “The Handmaid’s Tale” series from episode 1 through 5. In the United States, it streams exclusively on Hulu, while in the UK, you can find it on Channel 4 and Prime Video. The long-awaited sixth season is set to premiere on April 8th – mark your calendars!
