Watch the awkward moment Curtis Pritchard is reunited with Love Island ex Maura Higgins as she ‘worries’ he’ll spill on their relationship on All Stars

In 2020, when they parted ways, Curtis Pritchard and his former partner Maura Higgins encountered each other again, leading to an uncomfortable encounter, marking their first meeting since then.

Previously known Love Island contestants crossed paths once more as Maura, aged 34, who was hosting Love Island Games, encountered Curtis, also 28 years old. They were both there on the same show.

Maura was assigned the job of questioning eliminated Islanders, including Curtis, about their experiences within the villa.

Before filming began, the previous pair greeted each other with a short and courteous greeting, discussing their respective families in an obviously awkward interaction.

‘Long time no see, Curtis,’ Maura said before Curtis crumbled into a sheepish laugh. 

Following our quick exchange of niceties, Maura immediately delved into the specifics regarding her ex-partner’s stint in the Love Island Games.

Curtis shared that it felt a bit unusual for him to step outside, then confessed that he was genuinely disappointed for having to leave the competition prematurely, using the term “gutted.

Later, she confronted him about his forward behavior towards other females within the villa, even though he was paired with Lisa Celander.

She mentioned, ‘You had a partnership with Lisa, yet it was apparent you were growing closer to several other women. There was definitely an element of flirtation. However, you often found yourself drawn towards Lisa. Can you share your thoughts on why that might have been?’

At one stage, Maura playfully remarked that Curtis was still lacking courage, to which he retorted, ‘You’d be the one to know!’

He also brought up the issue of his snoring in the villa, asking: ‘Do I snore?’

‘I don’t know,’ she replied. ‘I mean I can’t remember. It’s that long ago, honestly.’

Last month, it became known that Maura seems concerned that her former partner Curtis might disclose details about their past relationship during his appearance on the forthcoming season of Love Island: All-Stars, as there’s a possibility he could spill secrets.

Curtis is among an outstanding group that comprises Scott Thomas, Catherine Agbaje, Olivia Hawkins, and Luca Bish.

In 2019, Maura and Curtis initially crossed paths on the initial season of Love Island. Eventually, they placed fourth in the competition together.

In contrast to the promising start, their relationship ended only eight months into it, with whispers of unfaithfulness on both parts – accusations that they’ve both dismissed as false.

More recently, Maura has been generating buzz on television following her appearance in the jungle, openly discussing her relationship with TOWIE celebrity Pete Wicks. Meanwhile, Curtis is similarly capturing attention as he re-emerges into the public eye.

According to a source, it feels quite uncomfortable for Maura that Curtis is joining the All Stars team, given her newfound affection for Pete and their recent announcement of their relationship.

‘Maura found her separation from Curtis difficult, as she was concerned he might reveal their private matters. This isn’t helpful for her aspirations to boost her reputation on I’m A Celebrity and progress in her professional life.’

The producers of Love Island are finalizing the cast for the upcoming January season, and there’s a possibility that Curtis may not be part of the initial group. However, it’s been rumored that he might join the show later as one of the surprise entrants.
