As a seasoned golf enthusiast and someone who has spent countless hours on the greens, I must say that the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship at Carnoustie is a spectacle like no other. The combination of professional golfers, celebrities, and amateurs makes for an electrifying atmosphere that is unparalleled in the world of sports.

On the first day of the Alfred Dunhill Championship, held at Carnoustie in Scotland, Michael Douglas pumped his fist enthusiastically to express his joy upon sinking a putt on Thursday.

80-year-old American actor played golf alongside actress Kathryn Newton (age 27), who stars in Big Little Lies, as well as Emmy Award-winning actor Bill Murray (age 74).

Fatal Attraction star Michael looked pleased with himself as he made the putt on the 17th green.

On that renowned Scottish golf course, he stood out in a sharp manner under a black sweater and grey pants, while the rain managed to stay at bay during his playtime.

Michael felt at ease wearing a pair of white sneakers, and he chose a navy baseball hat adorned with a cap perched on his head, accompanied by a pair of sunshades resting above it.

He looked in his element as he concentrated on the game while spectators snapped photos of him.

Meanwhile Kathryn looked happy with her game as she flashed a smile after teeing off on the course.

In a striped navy, red, and white sweater paired with black pants and a navy floppy hat, the actress playing Ant-Man 3’s lead role perfectly embodied her character’s style.

She kept comfortable in a pair of coordinated lace up shoes and opted for a large pair of dark sunglasses.

Kathryn gathered up her long, golden hair at the back of her head, away from her face, smiling broadly as she entertained spectators during her performance.

However Ghostbusters star Bill looked disappointed as he hit a bad shot into the fescue.

He tried to retrieve his ball onto the green, only to then toss his putter upwards.

Bill geared up for his golf game, donning a vibrant pink beanie, matching it with a green sweater, and completing the look with black slacks.

In another location, Gareth Bale looked sharp in beige pants, a black sweater, and a white cap as he stepped onto the golf course.

While Jamie Redknapp, the ex-footballer now turned presenter, sported a relaxed look in a navy hoodie and pants, he was ready to swing his golf club.

168 professional golfers, along with 168 celebrities and amateurs, kicked off the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship at Carnoustie on Thursday, competing across the first three rounds.

Each group of golfers will take on a different course per round before a cut on Saturday evening.

On Sunday, I’ll be guiding the finalists towards the historic Old Course in St Andrews for the climactic round. The titles of both the individual and team champions will be bestowed there.
