Warriors: Abyss is a Roguelite Dynasty Warriors Spin-Off and it’s Out Now For Xbox Series X|S
Today, Koei Tecmo and Omega Force have unveiled “Warriors: Abyss,” a standalone roguelike version of the popular “Dynasty Warriors” series that’s exclusively digital. This title maintains the series’ iconic hack ‘n’ slash gameplay, but now plunges it into the underworld.
As a summoned hero, you’ll venture deep into the infernal depths ruled by Enma, the Underworld’s monarch. Your mission is to vanquish the malevolent Gouma, which entails battling through hordes of adversaries. This presents an innovative take on the series’ signature one-on-ten-thousand combat chaos. Each level and items you encounter are randomly generated, ensuring a high degree of replayability.
As the lone protagonist, you have the ability to gather up to six other heroic allies, who you can bring into play using the ‘Summoning Heroes’ move. Each of these allies has their own special techniques known as ‘Unique Tactics’, which can cause immense damage. Additionally, new characters will be introduced for free in updates following the game’s release. You can get a sneak peek at the game by watching the launch trailer provided below.
The game titled “Warriors: Abyss” is now available for purchase on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC, with a release for Nintendo Switch set for February 14th. The standard edition costs $24.99/£19.99, while the Hack’n’Dash Edition, which comes with 200 outfits from “Dynasty Warriors” and “Samurai Warriors”, is priced at $39.99/£32.99. If you purchase the game before March 14th, you will receive the ‘Dynasty Warriors Classic Costume Set’ as a bonus for early purchases.
