Warner Bros. Movie World Offers Free Pass for Filming – Is It Worth Your Time?
Warner Bros. Movie World on the Gold Coast is soliciting individuals to work without pay on their Wizard of Oz show area.
The themed amusement park promoting thrill-seekers to get filmed as they enjoy rides on not one, but two of their headlining rides: the Kansas Whirlwind and the Ride of the Evil Witch.
Filming at Movie World was scheduled to start on Thursday morning, and those participating were given only a one-day pass as a form of payment or compensation.
At a well-liked amusement park, an adult typically pays around $109 for a single day ticket, while children’s tickets are priced at approximately $95.
A post shared on Movie World’s Facebook page on Wednesday suggests that filming for a movie is open to families and kids.
To be eligible for the free pass, participants must stand at least 120cm tall and commit to staying till the conclusion of filming.
To get a free pass, you need to be taller than 120 cm and stay until the end of filming.
The post generated a highly positive reaction, with one individual sharing their personal experience of filming within the theme park.
He said the shoot usually starts at 6.30am and runs for a ‘few hours’.
After completing all the tasks, when you depart, they’ll verify your name and hand out a solitary ticket for you.

However, one fans expressed disappointment at the single day pass ‘freebie’.
They mentioned that they fondly remember the times when an annual pass was provided for filming, not a daily one, if I recall correctly.

Referred to by its name inspired by a wicked character from the classic Wizard of Oz film, who famously flew on a broomstick, The Flight of the Wicked Witch is yet another significant attraction at Movie World.
On this brand-new aerial attraction, riders journey through a spooky woodland setting that ascends to a peak of 19 meters high.
Travelling along a 453 metre track the ride hits speeds of up to 67km per hour.
