Digital Extremes recently announced that the sequel to “Warframe: 1999,” titled “Techrot Encore,” will be released later this month and will be accessible for free across all platforms. Coincidentally, the free-to-play shooter is also commemorating its 12th anniversary on March 7th.
The 60th game addition, known as Warframe Temple, is being introduced along with four fresh Protoframe characters. Additionally, two revamped versions of the ‘Defense’ and ‘Deep Archimedea’ mission types will be available, as well as a brand new racing mini-game titled ‘Ollie’s Crash Course’.
In the upcoming “Warframe: 1999” Techrot Encore update, scheduled for release on March 19th across platforms like Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC, Temple will contribute heat wave projectiles to the battlefield, along with summonable minions known as Techrot Subwoofers that can debuff enemies labeled as “fans” and “the haters”. Additionally, new skins are expected.
