54-year-old Nadia launched her directing career last year with a comedy-drama film, featuring Walton, Pedro Pascal, and Elizabeth Reaser in leading roles.

In the initial stages, it proved challenging for Walton, age 53, to work alongside his spouse, as they both adjusted to their unique work methods.

He shared with Radio Times, “The initial transition was quite challenging for a few days! You see, we’re both born under the zodiac sign of Scorpio. Being Scorpios, we are self-reliant individuals who hold strong and distinct views on various matters.

In our collaboration, she served as the director, and I followed her lead similarly to how I adhere to other directors’ instructions. However, when it came to points I opposed, I had to express my disagreement to ensure my narrative was accurate. Fortunately, we established a workable pace, and eventually, we managed to separate our professional disagreements from any personal feelings.

In the movie, Walton’s character hosts a glamorous Hollywood bash where tensions escalate when an old woman unexpectedly attends (Lois Smith), asserting that she resides in the same place.

When asked about living the high-life of Hollywood, Walton replied: ‘I’m not calculating or manipulative regarding socializing. I don’t attend parties seeking favors from others. For me, every encounter is genuine and not based on any expected return.’

Following the reports, it appears that Walton and Aimee Lou Wood, who starred together on The White Lotus, may have put an end to their rumored disagreement after several months of uncertainty.

Reports of the conflict between Walton and Aimee escalated when Amy shed tears following an allegedly harsh and unamusing SNL comedy sketch on a Saturday night.

In a recent interview with The New York Times, the British actor clarified that the filming process wasn’t solely a joyful experience.

It’s clear that individuals developed friendships among themselves, yet we weren’t a harmonious, united group like one big happy family. Instead, we were a diverse gathering of people, disconnected from our usual lives and routines, essentially vacationing together. I won’t be the one to disclose specific actions or incidents, but it’s safe to say that this wasn’t your typical holiday getaway.

As an ardent admirer, I can’t help but echo Aimee Lou’s own words when she described the filming environment as feeling like a suffocating, claustrophobic space. It’s almost as if we were all unwitting participants in a real-life Truman Show social experiment!

The British actress confessed that the emotional depth came from not having much space between portraying Chelsea and stopping after filming her scenes.

In typical circumstances, after wrapping up work, you head home. However, in this situation, once you wrap up, take five steps into your room which happens to be where you’re filming. It resembles the Truman Show, causing one to ponder if anything is genuine. Everything seems artificial and staged, she remarked.

She went on to say: “I can see why the shows from the last two seasons are so impressive. The boundaries become quite unclear, and things can feel rather confining, which makes it crucial for everyone to lean on each other to maintain sanity. It’s a bit like Big Brother, but with all these famous actors – it’s quite an unusual feeling.

During the filming process, Aimee Lou developed strong bonds with several cast members, particularly Leslie Bibb. They became very close, sharing a room together and traveling together during filming breaks.

While she strived for some social interaction amidst her busy filming routine, Walton opted for a more meticulous approach during the shoot.

On the companion podcast for the TV series, the actor explained that he chose to remain secluded on set, partly due to the nature of his character.

Working alongside 18 individuals daily, while occupying a shared space filled with eighteen distinctly emotional seats, proved to be quite challenging… Usually, my seat stands alone.

‘On my own, I often spend time and pursue my personal activities. However, I found myself unable to be with them. They didn’t grasp why I was present. This individual appears isolated… Being apart from the group like that wasn’t enjoyable, you understand, it was quite difficult. It was a truly challenging experience.’

On their day off, Walton shared that Aimee preferred not to join in when he was in a less positive mood, opting instead to spend time with the younger members of the cast rather than him during non-filming times.

In the same vessel, I found myself filled with apprehension as we set sail. You see, I’ve always struggled in confined spaces due to my inherent claustrophobia, and it turns out that Rick shares the same predicament.

‘Therefore, I chose to spend the night right on the ship’s bow. The scene was breathtaking, and I intentionally emanated a lot of negative vibes, which made others keep their distance.’

In a moment, dear Aimee, in the kindest way possible, I whispered, “You know what? You seem more focused on work than enjoying life. I find myself drawn to those who live it up, like Patrick and our other companions.” And honestly, hearing that from you was a divine blessing, as it mirrors my own desires for your experience with us.
