Walton Goggins is bullish about Pete Davidson’s prediction of inevitable public backlash

It appears Walton Goggins is very appreciative to hear that, according to Pete Davidson, he could be the next Pedro Pascal-though he acknowledges that might not necessarily be a positive outcome.

The Emmy-nominated actor, famous for playing unusual characters in series such as “Fallout” and “The White Lotus,” addressed remarks made by comedian Davidson last week during an appearance on Theo Von’s “This Past Week” podcast.

The experienced character actor, known from shows like ‘The Shield’ and ‘Justified’, is receiving a lot of attention this year. He’s currently playing the Ghoul in Prime Video’s ‘Fallout’ and also appears in Season 3 of ‘The White Lotus’.

Playing the role of a fortune teller, the comedian-previously on “Saturday Night Live”-suggested that Goggins’ fans would eventually become critical of him, much like they did with Pascal.

“[Pascal] really put in the effort, and as an actor who was previously struggling, he suddenly became incredibly popular – people were obsessing over him, calling him ‘Daddy!’” Davidson explained to Von. “But then, just a year later, now that he’s considered attractive and successful, people are telling him to go away.”

“It’s like, we build everybody up and now it’s so fast to turn,” he added. “It’s within months.”

Well, Goggins responded to Davidson within days.

Pete Davidson recently shared with the Breakfast Club that he felt “embarrassed” by the intense public interest in his relationships with several well-known women. He explained that the attention his personal life received while dating famous females was difficult for him.

So, I saw this post from David Goggins on Instagram. Even though we don’t know each other, he thanked me for sending him an article about a guy sharing his thoughts on being famous. He then wrote something really cool – we both think Pedro Pascal isn’t just a good man, he’s a great man. Apparently, he’s also a dear friend of Goggins! It’s nice to see people acknowledging genuinely good folks.

“As a 53 year old,” he continued, “I’m acutely aware that every experience has a shelf life.”

The title of the article we’ve included is: “Pete Davidson Predicts Fans Will ‘Turn’ on Walton Goggins Similar to the Pedro Pascal Oversaturation Backlash.”

Goggins paused to share that he’d be sharing details about some new projects to recognize everyone who helped create them, and then told people they could just scroll past if they weren’t interested in hearing about it.

He wrote, “Please make sure I’m included in this headline – it’s not something to worry about, it’s a good thing! I’m so lucky that this is even an option!?”

It’s something Goggins said he couldn’t have imagined as a poor kid from Georgia.

“So… if enthusiastically embracing life’s opportunities is considered wrong, then I freely admit my guilt,” he concluded. “And if this situation becomes public knowledge, whether it’s likely or unavoidable, if this is what’s meant to happen… well… f- it. I’m going to fully enjoy every moment of it.”

Last year, The Times reported that Goggins views his career like a stock investment. He explained, “There have been dips, but it’s gradually gone up over time.”

Looks like it’s time to pump that stock before it’s dumped by the masses.
