Wallabies star Adam Ashley-Cooper ‘splits’ with wife Anna Scrimshaw with the pair unfollowing each other on social media

It’s thought that Adam Ashley-Cooper and his wife, Anna Scrimshaw, have parted ways following eight years as a married couple.

In 2017, they exchanged wedding vows and now share two kids. However, it’s been said that they’ve gone their separate ways for quite some time, as reported by Daily Mail Australia.

They have unfollowed one another on Instagram, and are no longer wearing their wedding rings. 

Despite scarcely showing up in each other’s social media updates for the last year, they both managed to come together for their son’s first day of school in February.

2022 saw the birth of their daughter, Ava, and their son, Drew, came into the world in 2019.

Daily Mail Australia has reached out to Adam Ashley-Cooper and Anna Scrimshaw for comment.  

The pair married in great fanfare in 2017, hosting lavish nuptials in Bordeaux, France. 

Over a span of three days, the grand occasion unfolded at the prestigious Chateau Soulac, graced by notable personalities such as Tim Robards and Anna Heinrich from The Bachelor, society figure Kate Waterhouse, and Australian rugby player Drew Mitchell.

In a beautiful, flowing white fishtail wedding dress adorned with intricate beading on the heart-shaped bodice and soft lace detailing, psychotherapist and fitness coach Anna was radiantly lovely.

As stated on their official wedding site, the festivities lasted for three days as part of the wedding events, beginning with welcoming beverages served on the first day, which was a Friday.

On the Sunday following our Saturday nuptials, I was thrilled to extend an invitation to all attendees for a relaxing “recovery brunch” right here at Chateau Soulac in the afternoon.

Amid the celebrations, visitors had the liberty to appreciate the stunning gardens that encompassed the estate, which included 8 hectares of woodland, a tennis court, and a swimming pool, for their relaxation.

As a lifestyle connoisseur, I’d describe this place as having two charming, rustic barns nestled within its grounds, accompanied by a spacious courtyard that invites leisurely strolls. The highlight, though, is the lush, green terrace that offers a breathtaking panorama of the picturesque Dorgogne landscape.

On Tuesday, the invitation asked guests to join the blissful newlywed couple on their honeymoon trip to Greece, specifically a “minimoon” as mentioned in the invite, which was set at the luxurious Petasos Beach Resort and Spa located in Mykonos.

Simultaneously, guests had the liberty to explore Anna and Adam’s online gift registry, featuring gifts like an African safari adventure, a trip to Machu Picchu, and a succulent-growing workshop.

Adam and Anna began dating in 2012 and became engaged on Anna’s birthday in December of 2014. 

At Sydney’s Taronga Zoo, the renowned sports figure popped the question to his beloved, offering her a sparkling solitaire diamond ring, custom-designed especially for her.

At that moment, Adam mentioned, “I kept it a secret about my actions so I could surprise Anna as fully as possible.

Adam revealed that he picked Anna’s birthday, specifically December 17th, to make his proposal a memorable event by planning a series of special activities throughout the day.

Commencing with a scenic harbor cruise reminiscent of James Bond, departing from Rose Bay, the duo indulged in champagne aboard the vessel. Later, compassionate animal enthusiast Adam escorted his companion, Anna, to the famous Sydney Zoo at Taronga.

Making every effort to create a memorable experience for his future wife, he meticulously arranged an exclusive backstage encounter with the animals, intending it as a heartfelt gesture to win her over.

An unexpected family gathering concluded when a video tribute was unveiled for his cherished partner. Then, amidst their closest loved ones, he dropped to one knee to pop the question.

At the time, Anna exclaimed, “I was utterly astonished, and what’s more, everyone from my family was present. It took a great deal of courage, but it was simply amazing.

Adam remarked, “Given how emotional she was following the video, I felt it was an opportune moment to engage with her since she seemed quite open and vulnerable.

Following established custom, the gentleman disclosed that he initially sought Anna’s father’s permission to propose marriage.

‘That was much harder, probably one of the hardest things I’ve ever done,’ he said.

41-year-old Adam, previously a player for the Wallabies and Union Bordeaux Bègles (French team), decided to hang up his rugby boots in the year 2021.
