Waleed Aly Lost It Over Twins Who Talked in Unison After Viral Carjacking Interview

On the broadcast of The Project on Wednesday, longtime host Waleed Aly found himself taken aback during an interview with Australian twins Bridgette and Paula Powers.

On Channel 10’s talk show, the sisters made an appearance following their video clip becoming widely popular, where they were synchronized almost perfectly in their speech.

The 47-year-olds grabbed attention after sharing their account of encountering a carjacking and gunfire incident on Queensland’s Bruce Highway, which took place on Tuesday.

In the interview, they provided an identical, verbatim response simultaneously, leaving Waleed bewildered as he struggled to find an explanation.

Asking the women ‘how’ they could speak in this way the pair replied in unison,

We can’t explain why this is happening, as we’ve made separate attempts to discuss it, but it seems that it’s beyond our control. In other words, it’s not a reflection of who we are. As for the critics, we pay them no mind.

‘If you can’t stand lasting to us switch off the TV.’

Elsewhere in the chat Waleed could hardly contain his astonished response.

‘Sorry I’m still blown away with what’s happening here,’ he said.

Afterward, he inquired if the sisters were able to discern their personal thoughts from those of their brother.

‘We wish we could know ourselves,’ they answered together, adding,

‘I wish we could answer that.’

Waleed signed off the segment with a surprising admission.

It’s safe to say that out of the approximately 10,000 to 15,000 interviews I’ve conducted, none of them were described as ‘extraordinary’.

After the Powers twins shared the chilling incident when their mother encountered an alleged gunman, they provided an uncanny, synchronized account in a peculiar television interview.

A man, who is said to be an armed individual, is suspected to have been involved in a fatal car accident on the Bruce Highway in Queensland, which resulted in a woman’s death.

In the course of a carjacking rampage, it’s claimed that the armed suspect fired a shot at a helpful bystander, hitting them in the arm before making an escape from the accident site.

Initially experiencing the turmoil themselves, twins Bridgette and Paula found their joint interview with a reporter becoming incredibly popular online.

The duo recounted that as their mother hurried to aid a car accident victim, she unexpectedly faced off against an individual, reportedly the shooter, who emerged from the wreckage.

In another version, a sister stated, ‘Another individual was alongside our mother… he exclaimed, “flee, he has a firearm!”‘ Meanwhile, the second sister echoed her words verbatim.

As my pulse quickened, I found myself exclaiming, “Oh, dear mother, whatever happened to you up there?” Sadly, my mother seemed to be in a predicament.

In my line of work, I often find myself stepping in to help de-escalate tense situations. Recently, I encountered a person who was visibly injured and covered in blood. Seeing this, I asked out of concern, “Are you okay?” To which he responded rather ominously, “I’ll retaliate if provoked.

In an instant, their mother swiftly diverted the suspected gunman’s attention and dashed into the nearby wilderness.

Thankfully, the twins and their mother were able to escape the chaos safely.

The interview they gave created a stir worldwide, as the American media and political news site Mediaite labeled their synchronized account as “remarkably surreal.

Previously, Bridgette and Paula made headlines when it came to light that they share a unique language and always dress alike.

As children, the twins were taken under the wing of late wildlife warrior Steve Irwin.

They now run a rescue sanctuary for seabirds.
