Wake Up Dead Man: Knives Out 3 Slips on Netflix Streaming Chart

The new Netflix murder mystery, which everyone was excited about, is starting to drop in popularity. It’s now in seventh place in the U.S., according to data from Flix Patrol. However, the movie, Wake Up Dead Man, is still doing well globally, remaining a top five hit in many countries.

I’m really excited about the new movie, Wake Up Dead Man! It’s the third film from Rian Johnson in the Knives Out series, and Daniel Craig is back as the amazing detective Benoit Blanc. This time around, Blanc finds himself investigating a murder at a Catholic church in New York – the victim is the local monsignor. It’s a totally unexpected setting for one of his mysteries, and I can’t wait to see how he solves it!

It’s a bit unexpected that Wake Up Dead Man has quickly lost momentum on streaming. The movie has a strong 92% “Certified Fresh” rating on Rotten Tomatoes, and critics agree it’s a compelling mystery for Benoit Blanc, focusing on themes of faith and featuring a standout performance by Josh O’Connor. They say it’s another brilliantly crafted puzzle in the style of Knives Out.

I’m really excited about Wake Up Dead Man! The fans seem to love it even more than the previous ones – it’s got a 93% ‘Verified Hot’ audience score! People are saying it’s a super twisty mystery with a great cast, and a lot of us think it’s the best one in the Knives Out series so far. It really jolts the whole franchise with how good it is!

Wake Up Dead Man Is Another Stellar Knives Out Mystery

In Netflix’s Wake Up Dead Man, a young priest named Jud Duplenticy arrives to help the popular but unconventional Monsignor Jefferson Wicks. Things quickly feel off within the church community. When a shocking murder occurs with no clear suspect, the local police chief, Geraldine Scott, teams up with the famous detective Benoit Blanc to solve a seemingly impossible mystery.

Like the previous Knives Out films, Wake Up Dead Man boasts a fantastic cast. Alongside Daniel Craig reprising his role as Blanc, the movie stars Josh O’Connor, Glenn Close, Josh Brolin, Mila Kunis, Jeremy Renner, Kerry Washington, Andrew Scott, Cailee Spaeny, Daryl McCormack, and Thomas Haden Church.

Johnson described being constantly amazed by the cast of Wake Up Dead Man while on set each day. He believes the movies are successful because of the actors’ fantastic chemistry and how much they enjoyed working together. He explained that when talented actors are given the space to connect, something special happens.

Rian Johnson’s latest mystery, Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery, premiered on Netflix on December 12th and is still available to watch. You can also find the previous installment, Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery, on Netflix, and the first Knives Out film is currently streaming on Prime Video.
