VR Alien Devs Reveal Scariest & Most Aggressive Xenomorphs Yet ‘They Will Hunt & Stalk You’

developer and designer Alissa Smith explains the game’s terrifying upgrades to its Xenomorphs.

They will hunt and stalk you,” Smith explained. “We put a lot of effort into making their behavior more like what you see in the films. They seem more clever, and become more challenging as you progress. The Xenomorphs you encounter at the start of the game won’t feel the same as those you face towards the end. They’ll become more aggressive the further you get.” Smith also added that even with the intense danger posed by the Xenomorphs in Alien: Rogue Incursion, players won’t have to worry for long, as the game will quickly build their “confidence going forward” by showing them how capable they are in a fight.

Released back in December, Alien: Rogue Incursion quickly gained popularity with players. Created by Survios, the game plunges you into a complex mystery, constantly threatened by terrifying Xenomorphs and the unsettling Facehuggers. The story takes place between the films Alien (1979) and Aliens (1986). You play as Zula Hendricks, a former marine and seasoned Xenomorph hunter, who, along with her synthetic companion Davis 01, investigates a remote research outpost after receiving a desperate distress call from those overtaken by the Xenomorph infestation.

What Players Can Expect from Alien: Rogue Incursion

The game received praise immediately after its release, with reviewers and players alike highlighting its well-crafted story and eerie atmosphere. Although some found the combat a little repetitive and there were noticeable visual glitches in many areas, the game’s extensive world and deep exploration opportunities were considered more than enough to overcome these flaws.

Currently, Alien: Rogue Incursion has a MetaCritic score of 78 out of 100 on PC, and a score of 74/100 on PlayStation 5. In contrast, players have given Alien: Rogue Incursion an average rating of 7.9 out of 10.

Alien: Rogue Incursion is currently available on PlayStation VR2, PlayStation 5, Xbox, and PC.
