Voice star Bo Bruce locked in new court battle with her aristocratic brother – just two years after winning £2 million inheritance fight

As a lifestyle expert with decades of experience observing and analyzing family dynamics, I must say, the saga between Bo Bruce and her brother Thomas is a classic example of the age-old adage: “Can’t live with them, can’t sue them.

As an ardent admirer, I find myself once again drawn into the intriguing saga of aristocratic songstress, Bo Bruce. She’s finding herself embroiled in a second courtroom tussle with her brother – barely two years after triumphantly securing a £2 million inheritance victory against him.

In 2022, Bo, a contestant on BBC’s The Voice, successfully won a High Court case against Thomas. The dispute stemmed from Bo not receiving her rightful share of the inheritance from their late mother, Lady Rosamund, the former Countess of Cardigan, who had passed away a decade prior. This inheritance was withheld despite it being due to Bo according to their mother’s will.

The judge mandated that Thomas should put Leigh Hill House, situated on the Savernake Estate in Wiltshire – their mother’s home, up for sale. The earnings from this sale were to be distributed according to the will’s instructions. Additionally, he reprimanded Thomas for neglecting his duties towards his sister, as she was concerned.

Two years on, Land Registry records show Thomas is still the registered owner of the property.

I’ve taken on a fresh legal challenge at the High Court, categorized as ‘disputes concerning trust assets’. However, the exact trust in question has yet to be disclosed.

In May, Thomas inherited the title of Earl of Cardigan, following the passing of his 98-year-old grandfather, the 8th Marquess of Ailesbury. The unfortunate incident occurred when he fell from a window in his West London residence, believed to be an attempt to release his pet cat, Honeybun.

Two years past, it came as a shock to David, who is currently the 9th Marquess, when he learned that his offspring were considering resuming their legal disputes.

As a lifestyle expert, I find myself dismayed upon contemplating further financial investment into what seems to be recurring squabbles among my older offspring.

However, upon learning he wasn’t set to inherit anything from his deceased marquess father, David declared to journalists that he intended to challenge the will.

David, who encountered his second spouse Joanne at a rehabilitation center in New Mexico, has voiced worries regarding the details of his father’s demise, as his father had been diagnosed with dementia.
