Vogue Williams reveals she clashed with husband Spencer Matthews over their family plans
As I delve into the compelling narrative of Spencer Matthews, I find myself deeply moved by his journey. His life story is a testament to resilience and self-discovery, a rollercoaster ride of highs and lows that ultimately led him to find balance and happiness.
Vogue Williams has revealed she clashed with her husband Spencer Matthews over their family plans.
The pair, with three kids aged Theodore (5), Gigi (3), and Otto (22 months), find themselves at odds regarding the prospect of having another child together.
Vogue, aged 39, clarified that it’s Spencer, 36, who can instantly become a father again, but she is the one who will need to carry a baby for nearly a year.
In an interview, the model confessed to The Sun that she had set a timer for herself, thinking: “I’ll make a decision by the end of this summer,” but as summer has come to an end, she finds herself still uncertain about her choice.
“Spencer jumps at the chance when I suggest something, but I’m always considering the practical details. Plus, since I’m pregnant and carrying a baby for nine months, my decisions are a little more complex than his.
The model playfully remarked: “I’ll likely still ponder over it when I turn 50! I don’t prefer having a child at age 40, as I feel like I’m going to begin feeling fatigued. That’s the time I want to be entering my retirement phase and relaxing!
Recently, during an interview, Spencer shared that alcohol had become a dominant force in his life, putting their relationship at risk. However, he decided to make a spontaneous choice to abstain from alcohol.
As a passionate admirer looking back, I can’t help but notice how drinking seemed to be an integral part of the TV star’s journey, from his days as a city broker in London, right through to his Made In Chelsea era.
However, it wasn’t until he turned 28 and met and wedded his spouse, whom we know as Vogue, that alcohol started posing a danger to his aspirations for the future and his intention to establish a stable life.
On The Mail’s Everything I Know About Me podcast, Spencer candidly discussed his past actions, stating: “I realized that if I continued drinking at my current pace, I would likely lose Vogue.
In the initial stages of their relationship, which began following their encounter on the 2017 reality series The Jump, he often reminisced about going out to party with Vogue. He openly acknowledged that their bond was very sociable and somewhat lively, involving a fair amount of alcohol consumption.
Back then, alcohol played a significant role in bonding this pair, who now have three children together. He confesses that he may have been particularly reliant on alcohol during the period when they first crossed paths. As he put it, if anyone had been on The Jump at that time, they would likely agree that it was quite an experience.

After my victory, I experienced a sort of emotional whirlwind, losing almost everything. At that point, I felt quite disorganized and chaotic, which was not typical for me. This was an unexpected turn of events.
Spencer clarified, however, that while Vogue indulged in binge drinking every few days and drank to become intoxicated, Spencer continued his drinking habit every single day.
Spencer clarified that while she drinks occasionally to become intoxicated, she dislikes alcohol intensely. She finds being hungover unbearable and usually avoids drinking. However, in the past, she used to drink frequently every few days to get drunk, but now it’s more like once a month.
During our free time, I’d often consume alcohol while she abstained. However, she’d soon pick herself up and move forward. This pattern continued until she did, at which point I persisted in my actions, and it happened daily. She would frequently bring up this issue.
About that period, Vogue became pregnant with their firstborn child, Theodore. Spencer mentioned, “My drinking stood out more because she wasn’t.
He shared that there was a sense of disapproval from her towards him, which understandably made him feel quite low, as he has always hoped for those close to him to be proud of him.
Spencer experienced a significant change in his life following an intoxicating evening in 2017, where he consumed nearly an entire bottle of whiskey at the London residence that he and Vogue shared together.
One night, under the influence of alcohol, he found himself in bed next to Vogue, who was pregnant at the time. He recalls telling her that he intended to stop drinking. “She, along with everyone else, didn’t truly believe me,” he acknowledged. However, he did manage to abstain from alcohol for a period of approximately three and a half years.
Spencer went on to launch his low-alcohol drinks company The Clean Liquor Company in 2019.
As a devoted admirer, let me share this heartfelt sentiment from the star: “Now, Vogue and I are blessed with three little ones, and true success, in my eyes, is simply being alive and content, surrounded by the people who matter. It might seem a bit cliché, but that’s the raw truth.
