Team Vitality, MOUZ, The MongolZ book StarLadder Budapest Major 2025 playoffs
Okay, so Team Spirit and FURIA already made it, and now three more teams have joined them in the playoffs after winning their matches. That means five spots are filled, and we’ve only got three left to fight for! It’s getting intense.
MOUZ vs Falcons
MOUZ started strong on Mirage, the map Falcons selected, quickly winning the first four rounds. While Falcons eventually managed to win a round, MOUZ continued to control the game as the defending team, leading 8-4 by halftime.
Falcons, playing from Connecticut, steadily began to catch up. They consistently found openings and successfully countered MOUZ’s strategies. Ultimately, Falcons mounted an impressive comeback, winning the map they chose 13-11.
Next, the teams played on Inferno. MOUZ had a small lead at halftime, ending with a score of 7-5. However, they dominated Falcons in the second half, ultimately winning the map 13-6.
The final match was played on Nuke. MOUZ quickly took a strong lead in the first half, winning several rounds against Falcons. However, Falcons managed to slow them down, keeping the score to 8-4 in favor of MOUZ by halftime.
Switching to the attacking side, MOUZ had a harder time winning rounds. However, they managed to avoid a repeat of their previous map loss and secured their place in the playoffs with a 13-10 victory on Nuke.
Team Vitality vs Natus Vincere
The match started on Inferno, the map chosen by Vitality. However, they struggled to gain a substantial advantage while attacking. They finished the first half with a narrow lead of 7-5, and then it was NAVI’s turn to attack. The second half was incredibly close, with both teams evenly matched, but ultimately Vitality won the game 13-11.
Following their first map victory, the teams moved onto Train, where they fought to a 6-6 tie in the first half. Vitality then gained the upper hand as the Terrorists, securing a 13-11 win and advancing to the playoffs of the StarLadder Budapest Major 2025.
G2 Esports vs the MongolZ
The MongolZ started strong on Ancient, taking a 9-3 lead while playing as the attacking side. After switching sides, G2 couldn’t stop their momentum. The MongolZ continued to dominate, winning the map 13-4.
G2 briefly showed some potential on Dust 2, but they only won five rounds while attacking. MongolZ then dominated the second half, securing a 13-6 victory and a spot in the playoffs.
The StarLadder Budapest Major 2025 is now in its final qualifying stage, with teams battling to avoid elimination and advance to the playoffs.
