Vitality bench Spinx ahead of BLAST Bounty

Vitality moved Spinx to the inactive roster after nearly two and a half years on the active squad.

As a passionate admirer, I find myself sharing news that Lotan “Spinx” Giladi has been moved to an inactive status on Vitality’s roster. This announcement signifies the conclusion of his two-year tenure on the active team.

Vitality bench Spinx

Initially, Spinx became part of the Vitality team in August 2022, having transferred from ENCE. Ever since then, he has been an essential member of Vitality’s CS2 squad. Prior to joining Vitality, this 24-year-old player was with ENCE and significantly contributed to the team’s rise to a top-four position in the Major tournament. In his first major event representing Vitality, the ESL Pro League, Spinx helped the organization secure a hard-fought Grand Final victory over Team Liquid by a close 3-2 scoreline.

2023 saw Vitality achieve multiple impressive podium finishes, with one of their most significant victories being the BLAST.tv Paris Major. Other notable tournament wins include the IEM Rio 2023, Gamers 8 2023, BLAST Premier Fall Finals, and the World Final in December of 2023. Furthermore, they placed within the top four at IEM Cologne 2023 and finished second at the Spring Final.

Reflecting on last year’s journey with Team Vitality, I must admit it was a rollercoaster ride of high placements and missed opportunities. Although we always held our ground among the elite, we struggled to consistently claim the grand titles. This inconsistency played a significant role in the recent roster changes we’ve made, as we strive for greater success and stability moving forward.

Previously, Émy “XTQZZZ” Quoniam disclosed to HLTV that Spinx sought the team’s approval for potential opportunities. Despite this, he remained part of the team and has just been shifted to the reserve roster.

What is Vitality’s CS2 roster?

With this change, Vitality’s CS2 roster is as follows:

  • Dan “apEX” Madesclaire
  • Mathieu “ZywOo” Herbaut
  • William “mezii” Merriman
  • Shahar “flameZ” Shushan
  • Rémy “XTQZZZ” Quoniam (Coach)
  • Lotan “Spinx” Giladi (Inactive)

Reports indicate Robin “ropz” Kool could be joining Team Vitality, which would strengthen their CS:2 team for 2025 significantly. Team Vitality is all set to participate in the BLAST Bounty Spring Qualifiers starting January 14, 2025. Successful teams from these qualifiers will advance to the LAN finals in Copenhagen later this month.
