Visions of Mana Director Ryosuke Yoshida Departs NetEase to Join Square Enix

As a seasoned gamer with decades of experience under my belt, I can’t help but feel a sense of nostalgia and admiration for Ryosuke Yoshida’s journey. The man behind the latest Mana game, “Visions of Mana,” has just moved from NetEase to Square Enix, a significant shift that echoes the closing of the studio responsible for developing the RPG sequel.

Ryosuke Yoshida, the director of the new Mana game titled “Visions of Mana,” has shared that he is now part of Square Enix, having left NetEase previously. This decision comes in the wake of the studio owned by NetEase, which had been developing the RPG sequel, shutting down shortly after the game’s release.

Personally speaking, I parted ways with NetEase Ouka Studios on Halloween, October 31st. In our brief tenure, we managed to launch “Visions of Mana”. Yoshida shared this information via a post on Twitter/X, expressing gratitude towards the development team and NetEase for their unwavering support throughout this rewarding journey. A big thank you to everyone involved!

I, a passionate gamer, am thrilled to share that this month marks my start at Square Enix! My goal is to pour all my energy into creating a game that brings joy to countless players out there. Whether we’re looking at more Mana games, innovative spin-offs, or something completely fresh, time will tell. But for now, let’s talk about the recently released Visions of Mana, which is available on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC. Happy gaming!

On a more casual note, I parted ways with NetEase Ouka Studios on Halloween. As a fresh studio, we managed to launch Visions of Mana, an achievement for which I’m deeply grateful to the development team and NetEase for their backing. It was a rewarding journey. Thanks everyone! Now, I am thrilled to share that…
