So, things are really heating up after The International! Virtus.pro didn’t waste any time and just dropped a massive announcement about their new Dota 2 lineup. It looks like they’re ready to make some waves in the next season.
Virtus.pro is making big changes to its Dota 2 team right after The International 2025. As is typical after this major tournament, players are switching teams and new lineups are being formed. We can expect to see both established players joining new organizations and up-and-coming talent getting a chance to shine.
One of the first major teams we have seen created is a new roster for Virtus.pro.
Virtus.pro expands their roster
Virtus.pro (VP) has long been a strong team in Dota 2, but they haven’t had much success lately. Now, as teams change after The International (TI), VP has announced a completely new lineup, bringing together experienced players from around the world.
The new Virtus.pro team will now compete in international tournaments. Their former players will compete as VP.CIS in the Eastern European region, and VP.Prodigy will continue to serve as the team’s training ground for up-and-coming talent.
Sam “Bulba” Sosale, the team’s newly appointed coach, had the following to say on the roster,
With limited time between The International and the first qualifying matches, we quickly signed Timado, Abed, and Tal as our initial core players. The player market is still developing after TI14, so we’re choosing to stay flexible and avoid making hasty, long-term commitments. We’re looking forward to seeing how Daxak and Antares perform during this trial period. Virtus.pro already has a talented roster, and this approach allows everyone to develop and improve together gradually.

The full new Virtus.pro Dota 2 international roster is as follows:
- Enzo “Timado” Gianoli
- Abed “Abed” Yusop
- Nikita “Daxak” Kuzmin
- Vladislav “Antares” Kertman
- Tal “Fly” Aizik
- Sam “BuLba” Sosale (coach)
The team’s lineup looks incredibly promising on paper, with several well-known players joining. It’s still uncertain if they’ll be as successful as the previous Virtus.pro team, but they’ll get their first chance to prove themselves in just a few days at the DreamLeague Season 27: Western Europe Closed Qualifier. This will be their official debut as a team, and fans will finally get to see what they can do.
