Virgin River star shares sneak peek at season 6 with production update

As a die-hard Virgin River fan who has spent countless hours in the quaint town of Virgin River, I can’t help but feel like I’ve grown up with Jack Sheridan, portrayed by the talented Martin Henderson. His recent Instagram post from the recording booth for season 6 feels like a reunion with an old friend.

Virgin River star Martin Henderson has shared an update ahead of season six debuting on Netflix.

As the character Jack Sheridan in our series, I’ve just dropped a hint that we’re working hard on the next episodes! Snapped a quick selfie during recording sessions and shared it on Insta to keep you all guessing. Can’t wait for you to see what we’ve been up to! #BehindTheScenes #EpisodeComingSoon

I’m gazing at a screen in the backdrop, catching a glimpse of the latest season featuring Henderson’s Jack and our leading lady, Mel Monroe, brilliantly portrayed by Alexandra Breckenridge.

“In the editing studio, fine-tuning the post-production for season 6 of #Virginriver, as Henderson described in his caption.”

Excitedly speaking as a devoted fan, I’m thrilled to share that rumors swirl about a prequel for “Virgin River”! This upcoming series promises to delve into the romantic past of Sarah, Mel’s late mother, and her biological father, Everett Reid, played by John Allen Nelson. The spin-off was initially hinted at in February. However, further plot points and cast members remain under wraps for now.

For the sixth season of the primary series, the showrunner, Patrick Sean Smith, mentioned that fans can expect 10 episodes featuring a leap in the storyline timeline post-holidays.

As a gaming enthusiast, I’m just saying, folks! Get ready to dive deeper into Everrett’s story in the upcoming season. We’ll be unraveling the threads of his relationship with Mel, all while delving into the intricacies of the titular town itself. Stay tuned!

Everett was revealed as Mel’s biological father in the show’s Christmas specials.

In the upcoming season 6, there’s a deeper focus on understanding Everett Reid’s character – his past, his ties with Virgin River, particularly during his encounters with his mother, and the nature of their relationship now. This was shared during a Q&A session.

In the expansive world of Virgin River, I’ve found myself joining forces with my screen partner, Zibby Allen, who brilliantly brings Brie Sheridan, Jack’s younger sister, to life. Together, we’ve launched a podcast named “I Like You Very Much,” which made its grand entrance in June.

Virgin River seasons 1-5 are streaming now on Netflix. Season 6 is yet to announce a release date.
