Jason Clarke stars in and executive produces the upcoming episode of The Last Frontier, premiering on Friday, November 7th. The show also features a talented cast including Dominic Cooper (known for The Gold), Haley Bennett (The Magnificent Seven), Simone Kessell (Yellowjackets), Dallas Goldtooth (Reservation Dogs), and Tait Blum (For All Mankind), alongside Alfre Woodard, a nominee for an Academy Award and multiple Emmy winner (Clemency).
Apple Studios presents The Last Frontier, a series created and executive produced by Jon Bokenkamp and Richard D’Ovidio. They collaborated with writers Jason Clarke, Laura Benson (known for The Big C), Glenn Kessler (Bloodlines), Albert Kim (Nikita), and Sam Hargrave, who also directed several episodes (and previously worked on Extraction).

Okay, so I recently checked out The Last Frontier, and it’s a really cool movie. It centers around Frank Remnick, played by Clarke, who’s basically the only law enforcement for this super isolated part of Alaska. Things go crazy when a plane carrying prisoners crashes out in the wilderness, and suddenly he’s got a bunch of dangerous convicts on the loose. He’s trying to protect the town, but he quickly starts to think the crash wasn’t just a random accident – it feels like someone deliberately orchestrated the whole thing, and it’s going to be a much bigger deal than anyone realizes.
Jake Dee from MovieWeb calls The Last Frontier a thrilling new series reminiscent of 90s classics like Con Air and A Simple Plan. Jeff Ewing at Collider also praised the show, highlighting Jason Clarke’s strong performance and the series’ clever, unpredictable storyline, describing it as an engaging and surprising manhunt thriller.
