Vince Vaughn’s new sci-fi crime movie has earned a promising Rotten Tomatoes score from critics.
Comedian Vince Vaughn’s new film, Mike & Nick & Nick & Alice, is getting positive reviews on Rotten Tomatoes before it starts streaming. The movie stars Vaughn as Nick, a gangster who gets caught up in a dangerous situation involving a time machine, along with his partner in crime, Mike (James Marsden), and the woman they both love, Alice (Eiza González).
The new sci-fi crime comedy Mike & Nick & Nick & Alice has received a promising start, earning a 73% rating on Rotten Tomatoes based on 11 critic reviews after premiering at SXSW. This suggests that critics generally enjoyed the film.
I’ve been reading reviews for Mike & Nick & Nick & Alice, and it seems like people have pretty mixed feelings. Overall though, most people really liked it! A lot of reviewers highlighted the great connection between Vaughn and Marsden, and how the movie successfully combined different types of genres. It sounds like a really fun, easy watch – perfect for streaming on Hulu when you just want to relax.
While some viewers found the plot a little weak, most agree the movie is funny and enjoyable. Even critical reviews acknowledge the humor and strong chemistry between the main actors. Overall, the positive reception suggests it’s a worthwhile and entertaining watch, perfect for streaming at home.
I’m really excited about this new sci-fi crime movie! It’s directed by BenDavid Grabinski, who I know from his writing on the fantastic Scott Pilgrim Takes Off from last year. He also created the comedy thriller Happily a couple of years ago. This, Mike & Nick & Nick & Alice, is actually his second time directing a feature film, but it’s the first one that’s going straight to streaming, which is a bit different.
Vaughn has two new streaming projects on the way. He’ll be returning as Andrew Yancy in season two of the Apple TV crime drama, Bad Monkey. Plus, the positive response to his Hulu original is a promising sign, and it will be released before the end of March.
Despite a few critical drawbacks, Mike & Nick & Nick & Alice is looking like a successful release for Hulu. The movie is funny, and the actors have great chemistry, offering plenty of entertainment. Plus, its science fiction elements add a lot of interesting ideas to the mix.
Mike & Nick & Nick & Alice premieres Friday, March 27 on Hulu.
