Victoria Beckham has shared that she had her breast implants removed because she wanted to be seen as a credible figure in the fashion industry.
In a new Netflix documentary, Victoria, age 51, shares that she soon regretted getting breast implants after her time as a glamorous WAG (Wives and Girlfriends of high-profile athletes) in Baden-Baden.
Back in 2006, the wives and girlfriends of the football players created a media frenzy in Baden-Baden with their extravagant behavior and glamorous fashion choices.
Victoria Beckham, often considered the most famous WAG of her time, was photographed enjoying nights out with other football wives like Coleen Rooney, Cheryl Cole, and Toni Terry. Looking back on those days, she jokingly admitted, ‘It was a fun time! I had a fuller figure and big hair.’
Okay, so Victoria basically said if she wanted people to *actually* respect her in this new field she’s trying, she felt she had to… well, get rid of her breasts. It’s like, she thought they were a distraction, and she needed to be taken seriously for her *talent*, not… you know. It’s a total sacrifice, honestly, but she’s so dedicated to proving herself, it makes sense, even if it breaks my heart a little!
The fashion designer explained that her friend and colleague Roland Mouret, also appearing in the show, was the reason they were taken off the air.

Victoria shared with The Sun that she’s noticed a change in her breasts, joking that they’ve disappeared. She credits her work with Roland for this transformation, expressing deep gratitude for his support and acknowledging that she wouldn’t have the career she has without him.
Honestly, I was just… lost. I felt like I had to *be* someone else, someone impressive, to get people to pay attention. It was exhausting! But Roland… he saw right through it. He didn’t want me to pretend anymore. He gently pushed me to just… be myself, to stop trying so hard and just dial it back a little. It sounds simple, but it was everything.
‘And I think the nice thing about it is, then, I could just show myself through my collections.’
Victoria had previously claimed she hadn’t had plastic surgery, despite a noticeable change in her bust size. However, she admitted in 2017 that she had undergone the procedure.
I’ve been following Victoria Beckham for years, and honestly, people started talking about possible cosmetic surgery way back in the 90s! It wasn’t a secret that she wanted to restore her figure after having Brooklyn in 1999, and Andrew Morton’s biography actually confirmed she had breast implants at a London clinic around that time. It’s something fans have discussed for ages, but it’s good to have the facts out there.
Oh my god, back in 2014 Victoria actually *talked* about her… well, you know. She basically admitted she used to have breast implants! Can you believe it? She said, and I quote, ‘I don’t have them any more. I think I may have purchased them.’ It’s just… amazing. She was so honest! I’ve re-read that quote a million times. It’s iconic, honestly.
Her biographer says she first had cosmetic surgery around 15 years ago, costing her £10,000. Reports from 2001 state she then had another operation to increase her bust size to a 34DD.
The designer reportedly had breast augmentation surgery in 1999 and again in 2006. Later, in 2009, she had a breast reduction and playfully told US Vogue that she’d gotten rid of her large breasts, exclaiming, ‘Torpedo bazookas, gone!’

Victoria consistently claimed she hadn’t had cosmetic surgery, and in September 2001, she specifically attributed her fuller figure to the use of tape and push-up bras.
In a 2003 interview with Piers Morgan, she admitted to having a little help with her appearance. She said she was mostly natural, but used fake nails, had her hair styled, and wore a self-tanner.
In 2005, the celebrity’s legal team confessed that previous statements denying she’d had breast augmentation were false, and that she had, in fact, had the surgery.
Victoria herself has also admitted to cringing at photos showing her inflated bust.
