Victoria Beckham reveals a woman has to be ‘a real a*****e’ for her not to get on with them amid her ongoing feud with son Brooklyn and his wife Nicola Peltz

Victoria Beckham has suggested someone would have to be very difficult to not get along with her, in a comment made while addressing the distance between her and her son Brooklyn and his wife Nicola Peltz.

As a lifestyle expert, I’ve been following the buzz around Victoria Beckham and Nicola Peltz, and it seems things got tricky right from the start. The rumors of a feud really took off when Nicola chose a stunning Valentino gown for her wedding instead of a dress designed by Victoria. It definitely raised eyebrows, and people started talking immediately after the 2022 nuptials.

Brooklyn and Nicola seem to have distanced themselves from David Beckham’s family, skipping his 50th birthday celebrations in May and spending more time with Nicola’s family instead.

Victoria recently told Andy Cohen on Sirius XM that she rarely dislikes other women, and it takes a lot for her to have a conflict with one.

When Andy asked about her relationships with the wives and girlfriends of other footballers early in her career, she explained that she generally got along with them. She described herself as someone who supports other women, and said it would take a truly unpleasant person to make her dislike them.

Victoria and her husband have already shared that they won’t be seeing their oldest son for the time being.

According to a source, Brooklyn and Nicola are noticeably absent and missed at family events ever since tensions rose, particularly when they didn’t attend David’s 50th birthday party.

Following disagreements about her wedding dress, Nicola addressed the rumors and she and her partner publicly showed their support for each other.

They consistently supported each other’s work, often attended events as a pair, and frequently shared appreciative posts on social media.

Responding to reports of a disagreement that started in 2022, Nicola clarified, “It’s not a feud! I keep seeing that word everywhere. Maybe people sensed some tension, and now they’re calling it a feud?”

In a recent interview with Grazia magazine, Brooklyn shared that he and his family are very close, as are his wife and her family.

My family is split between London and Miami, which works out well. I’m grateful for the football team because it gives me a reason to visit them as often as possible. We travel to London occasionally, they visit me here in LA, and sometimes we meet up in Miami.

The family hasn’t been seen together since last Boxing Day. Since then, they’ve missed both David and Victoria’s birthdays and weren’t there to support David’s mother following the release of her new documentary earlier this month.

Furthermore none of the Beckham clan were present at Brooklyn and Nicola’s vow renewals in August. 

The couple, married in 2022, didn’t invite anyone from Brooklyn’s family. David and Victoria reportedly learned about the wedding after seeing it mentioned on a US website, which was very upsetting for them.

This is quite different from Nicola’s family, who were prominently involved in the second wedding. Her father, Nelson, age 83, actually performed the ceremony, and her mother, Claudia, age 70, lent him her vintage wedding dress. Nicola’s parents also took center stage at the reception afterward.

Earlier this month, Victoria hinted at a strained relationship with her son Brooklyn and his wife Nicola, referring to a shift in their family dynamics.

During an appearance on the Call Me Daddy podcast with Alex Cooper, she discussed her ‘close family’ without mentioning Brooklyn by name.

Victoria explained that she strives to create a comfortable and open environment where her children feel they can talk to her about anything that’s bothering them.

She explained that their family is very close and open with each other. They emphasize the importance of communication and make sure everyone feels comfortable talking about anything, creating a safe and supportive environment.

When asked about how she and David navigate the evolving relationships within their family, she emphasized that open communication is key.

We’ve always encouraged our children to be themselves. I’m really happy for them – they each have unique interests and enjoy different activities.

Brooklyn reportedly grew distant from his family, especially after missing his father’s 50th birthday celebration in May.

I was really surprised and honestly, touched, to see Victoria include Brooklyn and Nicola in her new docuseries. It seemed like a genuine effort to reach out, even though things have been strained between them. It felt like she was trying to show she still cares, despite everything that’s happened.

During her September 2024 show at Paris Fashion Week, Victoria shared a heartfelt speech about wanting to make her family and team proud.

The video quickly switched between shots of Victoria’s colleagues, while Brooklyn and Nicola were visible chatting with attendees in the background.

Victoria’s husband, David, and their children – Romeo, Cruz, and Harper – all received more attention in the broadcast, and were visibly excited sitting front row at the show.
