Despite the twinge of sadness lingering from Brooklyn’s recent decision to skip out on our family vow renewal ceremony, I just had to tease him a bit about the competition in the Beckham household. Model Romeo, aged 22, who is jointly known by Victoria and her husband David, posted an enticing black-and-white photo on social media on Monday, showcasing his well-toned physique.

However, although the post sparked excitement among Romeo’s youthful admirers, Victoria playfully poked fun at her son by writing: “What are you up to, Romeo?” accompanied by a laughing-crying emoji.

Amidst her sadness from not being included in Brooklyn Decker and Nicola Peltz’s vow renewal, Victoria still found joy in interacting with her second child.

It is said that the former Spice Girl, aged 51, and soccer icon David, also 50, are concerned about their son Brooklyn, who is 26, due to his apparent decision to distance himself from the family following his omission of inviting any relatives to a recent event.

In a reaffirmation of their marriage, Brooklyn and his wife Nicola – who initially tied the knot in 2022 – exchanged vows once more on August 2nd in Westchester County, surrounded by family members who played significant roles during the ceremony, with the Beckham family absent.

On the special day, Nicola chose to don her mother, who is 70 years old, and a 1985 vintage wedding dress that belonged to her as a bride. Meanwhile, in a significant turn of events, Nelson, who is 83, was entrusted with the key responsibility of officiating the ceremony.

It is said that Brooklyn’s family members, which include Romeo, Cruz (who is 20 years old), and Harper (age 14), learned about their upcoming event from reading an American news site.

Ever since their oldest son refused to attend his father’s 50th birthday celebration, the family has grown increasingly distant from him, and they now worry that this could be the last blow to their relationship.

According to a source, The Sun reported that this event served as an additional disappointment for David and Victoria. Witnessing Nelson’s significant part in the ceremony was particularly distressing for David. It was disheartening for both of them to learn that none of their over 30 extended family members were informed about the wedding or received invitations.

‘His grandparents are devastated too as Brooklyn has always been so close to them.’ 

The source stated: ‘It’s heartless and malicious. It’s not a game anymore; it’s transcended that point. This is a family grieving the loss of their cherished son, and they don’t see any hope for the future.’

Recently, there’s been speculation as to why he insists on retaining the ‘Beckham’ name – could he be changing back to Peltz? August 2nd, 2025, might mark the day when Brooklyn officially distanced himself from the Beckham family. It certainly seems like that’s what happened.

In 2022, Nicola opted for a Valentino dress instead of one designed by Victoria, her fashion designer, a decision that wasn’t met with approval. Once more, she chose to go against her mother-in-law’s preferences and wore a vintage wedding dress from her own mother Claudia on that occasion.

The message holds a profound emotional impact for Posh (Victoria Beckham) and Becks (David Beckham), as they’ve been growing more distant from him and Nicola over the past few months.

For the very first time discussing this particular day, the 26-year-old expressed his enthusiasm, stating that if given the chance, he would repeat the experience every day without fail.

Brooklyn said the moment was all about creating a ‘really cute memory’ they’d treasure forever.
