In a recent Instagram post, Victoria Beckham candidly discussed her past struggles with acne and feelings of self-consciousness.

As a devoted admirer, I’d confide that at 51, this iconic figure in fashion openly embraces a ‘subtle’ aesthetic when it comes to makeup. She’s been open about her personal journey with her skin, acknowledging that it’s been a challenge for her, so she’s particularly meticulous when selecting the beauty products that grace her face.

Victoria has always been candid about her struggles with imperfect skin, battling acne since her teenage years, which made it challenging for her to rise to stardom during her twenties amidst skin concerns.

Currently seated comfortably in a white bathrobe that matched her dark hair tucked neatly in a towel, the Spice Girl shared a peek into her beauty regimen with fans while endorsing her latest product line.

Victoria began the video by vigorously moving the items she intended to use, aiming to stimulate them, prior to applying a base coat.

Victoria mentioned: “I prefer items that won’t settle into my wrinkles, as nothing is more frustrating than foundation settling into the creases.

‘I like to keep my skin looking like skin and see it through the foundation, I like flawless skin.

I’ve been transparent about my skin issues, so I’m vigilant to avoid using products that might trigger an irritation.

For a long time, I’ve felt overly sensitive about my acne-prone skin. However, this formula has been exceptionally beneficial as it not only improves the appearance of my skin but also helps to minimize the effects of sun damage. In other words, it effectively hides and filters out the imperfections.

Earlier on, Victoria confessed that her stern appearance in photos stemmed from her feelings of self-consciousness regarding her skin.

Throughout my career, I’ve been recognized for my signature stoic expression, seldom breaking into a grin during numerous public engagements.

Last year, during an interview with The Telegraph, Victoria shared that she often felt quite uneasy when posing for photographs because she wasn’t genuinely happy with her inner self to spontaneously flash a smile.

While conversing, Victoria shared that she had consulted skincare professionals. Now, as a result, she follows a disciplined regimen to maintain healthy and acne-free skin.

In pondering her heightened sensitivity about her appearance, Victoria observed, ‘I may have appeared stern in many photos, given my discomfort.’

Additionally, not only was her reluctance to smile in public due to her skin issues, but also the necessity of maintaining a particular diet played a role as well.

Victoria adheres strictly to a well-known daily menu, as her husband, David Beckham, once disclosed that she has been consuming the same dish every day for twenty-five years: grilled fish accompanied by steamed vegetables.

Victoria chose to follow a particular diet due to concerns about her skin. In doing so, she eliminated not only meat but also wheat from her meals.

Currently, Victoria appears more at ease with herself, frequently displaying a genuine smile on various occasions.

Indeed, she’s become so at ease with her appearance that she has grown confident enough to attend glitzy events wearing minimal makeup.

A while back, if someone had told me I’d walk the red carpet in just some concealer and no foundation to receive an award, I would have thought them crazy. But that’s exactly what happened to me last week.

The woman with five children shared her experience of growing older, expressing that it has brought her genuine freedom. She confessed that at one point, she frequently read comments about herself online, but nowadays, due to a lack of time, she no longer does so.

Later this week, Victoria Beckham enlisted her daughter Harper Beckham to promote one of her new beauty product offerings as well.

It seems like the 14-year-old is hinting at her future aspirations of managing her mother’s beauty and fashion business, as she recently posted a video of herself spraying the Victoria Beckham perfume from the year 1997, named Portofino.

In addition, Harper donned a white robe with black trim and the Portofino ’97 logo, much like how Victoria had in an advertisement for the brand mere days earlier.
