Victoria and David Beckham reflect on ‘great memories’ with estranged son Brooklyn in first public comments since his bombshell rant and humiliation of mum

David and Victoria Beckham have been reminiscing about happy times with their son Brooklyn, even after he publicly criticized them.

In a six-page statement released on Monday, the couple’s 26-year-old son stated he doesn’t want to repair his relationship with his family.

With the conflict growing and Brooklyn’s mother reportedly heartbroken by recent events, both she and David have been fondly remembering happy times with him.

Photographer Platon shared some older photos on Saturday, including a 2006 picture of David Beckham without a shirt, revealing a tattoo of his son Brooklyn’s name on his back.

The photographer also recounted an interesting moment from the day he photographed David, then a player for Real Madrid.

He wrote a caption with the photos: ‘Victoria brought Brooklyn, who was seven, Romeo, who was four, and baby Cruz. Brooklyn and Romeo immediately ran into the studio in their football kits, kicking balls and showing off their skills.’

While Victoria was occupied with the kids, David and I began working. Suddenly, Brooklyn dashed onto the set, football in hand, and wrapped his arms around David’s leg. Soon after, Romeo came running over to join his brother.

And then, she appeared, carrying little Cruz! Honestly, it was everything. The whole family just… turned away, huddled together for this incredibly sweet, private hug. It was so real, so genuine – this perfect family moment happening right there on a huge movie set, with like, sixty people watching. It just… got to me, you know? It was beautiful.

‘Celebrity comes with a heavy price and often it is family members who also pay.’

David and Victoria Beckham saw the heartfelt post and responded to it online, with David simply writing, ‘Good memories’.

Former Spice Girl Victoria then said: ‘Brings back great memories!’

Platon shared a photo of David Beckham and wrote, ‘Even though David is by himself in this picture, the tattoos on his back show the love he has for his children. Family means everything. David Beckham, I admire you.’

As a lifestyle expert, I’ve been following the recent family drama, and it’s quite upsetting. Brooklyn has publicly shared that he feels his parents, Victoria and David, are actively trying to damage his relationship with his wife, Nicola. He even claims a moment at his wedding in 2022 – specifically, his mother’s dancing – felt really uncomfortable and inappropriate. It’s a tough situation, and highlights how even high-profile families struggle with interpersonal dynamics.

The couple’s wedding DJ, Fat Tony, shared details of what occurred at the reception during an appearance on ITV’s This Morning on Friday.

The 60-year-old described the situation as ‘very uncomfortable’ and said Nicola left the party crying.

According to Tony, a close friend of the Beckhams, Marc Anthony was responsible for an awkward moment. He said Anthony pulled Victoria and her son onto the dance floor and told the son to put his hands on his mother’s hips.

He explained: ‘There was no slut-dropping, there was no PVC cat suits, no Spice Girl action!

‘The word “inappropriate”, why I said it was as well, it was the timing, this is what happened.’

Tony explained that Marc Anthony was performing when he invited someone from the audience, Brooklyn, to join him on stage.

I’ll never forget it! Brooklyn was already up on stage, and everyone was looking at Nicola, waiting for them to start the first dance. Then, out of nowhere, Marc asked for the most beautiful woman in the room to join him… and then he called for Victoria to come up! It was such a sweet moment.

He shared that Brooklyn appeared very upset that he’d danced with Victoria instead of his wife, and Nicola reportedly left the room in tears.
