Vicky Pattison reveals wacky belief in manifesting goals that landed her a place on this year’s Strictly

As a die-hard fan, I’ve confessed that for years, my heart yearned to dance the ballroom with the stars of Strictly Come Dancing! Secretly, I’ve been manifesting this dream by crafting a vision board – a magical canvas where Vicky Pattison and I share the dance floor.

This month, the TV figure, aged 37, known primarily from MTV’s Geordie Shore series, was announced as the eleventh contestant participating in this year’s BBC competition earlier this month.

Now, Vicky shares her perspective on the process, inviting fans to craft their own vision boards, adorned with images representing both their career aspirations and personal objectives.

The star declared: “By those objects I vow. In my workplace, I possess two substantial ones, each dedicated – one for my career and one for my private affairs. I have no qualms about disclosing their contents to you.

In simpler terms, she shared with The Mirror that her professional portfolio showcases photographs of her on Strictly Come Dancing and the BBC logo, as a testament to her work there. Additionally, it includes a picture of Stacey Dooley, reflecting her aspirations to produce impactful documentaries and discuss matters close to her heart, such as women’s reproductive health, safety concerns for women, and many more relevant issues that significantly impact our lives.

During her reality TV stint, she gained notoriety for her wild party lifestyle and frequent intoxication. However, she’s now committed to moving past those phases.

She shared that she’s tired of being recognized solely as a reality TV personality and instead prefers to be acknowledged as a television host, writer, and broadcaster.

The star stated: ‘Ultimately, I aspire for my work’s quality to captivate people rather than the specifics of my personal life. It’s a challenging shift because there’s a strong prejudice against individuals from reality TV, often implying that we lack talent and have little value to offer.’

Vicky strongly disagreed with the given statements and was eager to attract a different group of spectators during her stint on Strictly.

Just last week, Vicky offered an exclusive look at her injured, swollen feet on Instagram following the challenging first week of Strictly rehearsals behind the scenes.

Posting a picture of her sore, reddened feet following practice, she captioned with a mix of tears and laughter: “Here we go again!” (teary-laughing emojis)

In her subsequent update, Vicky confessed that the rigors of dancing left her feeling as though she had been run over by a vehicle following the commencement of rehearsals.

She said: ‘Our first @bbcstrictly rehearsal… The start of the day versus… the end.

That experience was definitely an intense trial by fire, and if I had any doubts about my abilities earlier, they have been thoroughly confirmed now. Dance certainly isn’t easy!

It’s not surprising that they’re all so attractive; it seems like I’ve been in an accident and I’m already feeling the pain – what on earth is going on here?

‘A serious new found appreciation for everyone who’s ever taken part!

However, today has been truly remarkable! The team is simply outstanding, the celebrities are a delight, and the professionals are just a pleasure to work with.

Given some time, I believe I’ll grow to deeply cherish my new family. I’ve decided to take a moment to reflect on my decisions and offer my sincere apologies to those I may have inadvertently hurt today.

Vicky will be dancing alongside celebrities such as Harry Aikines-Aryeetey from Gladiators, Dani Dyer from Love Island, actress Alex Kingston, footballer Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink, Balvinder Sopal from soap operas, and TikTok sensation George Clarke on the dance floor.
