36-year-old television personality Vicky Pattison has just gotten married to her husband Ercan Ramadan in a pair of heartwarming ceremonies. The special moments were recorded for the upcoming show on E4 titled “Vicky Pattison: A Grand Geordie Wedding.
On Wednesday, the eagerly-awaited show will start broadcasting, featuring the joyful pair tying the knot formally at Marylebone Town Hall in August, with their cherished ones present. Later in the previous month, they had a grander wedding ceremony in Puglia.
However, prior to launching her own television series, Vicky faced allegations suggesting she aimed to capitalize on the fame associated with Geordie Shore, as her series was titled “My Big Fat Geordie Wedding.” This appeared contradictory to her intention to separate herself from the program.
From 2011 to 2014, she was a prominent cast member of the MTV show that became notorious for its excessive alcohol consumption, intense conflicts, and extravagant nightlife escapades.
After leaving the show, Vicky openly acknowledged that the experience was a difficult phase in her life. She confessed that she felt as though she had lost her true identity while trying to maintain her party-girl character on the show.

Geordie refers to a language spoken primarily in the Tyneside area, located in northeastern England, or it can be used affectionately as a nickname for someone originating from that region, particularly around Newcastle.
On her Instagram Stories, Vicky shared a screenshot of a fan’s comment along with her response, titled: “Here’s some clarity for anyone perplexed.
‘No shade to the person commenting but this narrative needs correcting – for my own sanity and just to clarify for the the people who are confused and think MTV invented the term “geordie” SPOILER ALERT: They did not!’
The fan in question had written: ‘I LOVE Vicki and god she looks stunning!! But I don’t understand the ties back to Geordie Shore for the wedding when she’s tried SO hard to distance herself from the entire enterprise. Just seems a little strange to suddenly be piggy backing off it again for the wedding?’
In response, Vicky dismissed the remark as “foolish” and found it “exaggerated” to categorize an entire region as merely a reality TV show.
She wrote: “Hi Kim, let me clarify something for you. Although I’ve openly shared my challenges with Geordie Shore in the past and prefer to focus on my accomplishments over the last 15 years, I’ve never spoken negatively about the show itself or its cast.
My stance on it is shaped by the person I evolved into during that experience, understanding that I am responsible for my own actions.
Although MTV didn’t coin the term ‘Geordie,’ it’s an informal nickname for someone from Tyneside. Since I was born and raised in Wallsend, just minutes from the River Tyne, I have always identified as a Geordie, and I am incredibly proud of that heritage. Consequently, my wedding will be a grand ‘Geordie Wedding.’
Approximately one million residents in Newcastle identify as Geordies, none of whom rely on the reality TV show ‘Geordie Shore’.
They’ve used a term about themselves that we’ve heard for decades, and it seems a bit absurd. It’s astonishing to see an entire area being stereotyped as mere reality TV. Newcastle stands for much more than that. The north has depth beyond this characterization. And let me remind you, I’m no different.

She mentioned: ‘During the program, you’ll catch glimpses of my involvement. There are instances where I become genuinely enthusiastic about the planning process, and there are times when I feel overwhelmed trying to manage everything. However, I believe that’s also part of being a woman.’
Previously, as a devoted enthusiast, I welcomed a film crew to document my wedding preparations, hoping for a memorable experience. However, what transpired was a turn of events leading to misfortune and sorrow instead.
2018 saw the signing of the agreement, with the wedding cameras ready to roll just a few months later, when she discovered that her partner at the time, John Noble, was caught kissing other females.
In a poignant moment, she shared with the Weekend Magazine from The Mail, “I felt utterly brokenhearted. This experience stands apart from others.
In a sense, I struggled with feelings of insufficiency and unworthiness, believing myself unlovable. To mask this, I immersed myself in my work and aimed to project a facade of resilience. However, beneath the surface, I was fracturing.
In a show of support, friends and relatives gathered around, yet there seemed no escape, and it all came flooding back: ‘I can still recollect the television crew being present, unsure of how to react. Essentially, I found myself in tears.’
‘We turned the wedding documentary into a break-up show. It showed young women you don’t have to stay with the wrong person.’
As a devoted helper, I received countless heartfelt messages from women expressing their gratitude for showing them they had the strength to leave.
Reflecting on our choice, neither I nor my partner Ercan took this step without careful consideration. After all, weddings can be quite an investment. Given the opportunity for a television network to assist financially, it would be downright imprudent not to seize it.
Additionally, for most of my existence, I’ve found myself under the glare of cameras. Television presence has granted me a sense of safety, honor, and possessions that my family and I would not have enjoyed otherwise.
She also shared her third reason, stating that Ercan stands apart from any other person she has dated before. This unique difference is what makes their relationship work.
‘Our bond seems to be moving forward at a good pace. Right now, Ercan is acting like a dedicated home caretaker for our dog, taking care of the household chores and helping out with small tasks. He’s happy to let me take center stage and support me. This level of mutual understanding and support was something I hadn’t experienced before.’
