Vicky McClure joins Jodie Comer in new movie
As a dedicated fan with an eye for exceptional storytelling and a heart for gritty, complex characters, I am absolutely thrilled about Vicky McClure joining Jodie Comer in “The Last Disturbance of Madeline Hynde”. With her captivating performances in series like “Line of Duty” and “Broadchurch”, it’s clear that McClure is a force to be reckoned with, and I can’t wait to see what she brings to this enigmatic project.
Actress Vicky McClure is set to team up with Jodie Comer in the upcoming movie titled “The Last Disturbance of Madeline Hynde“, directed by Kenneth Branagh.
The project, initially unveiled in May, is being characterized as a modern psychological thriller. While details about the storyline are still sparse, director Branagh intends to capitalize on the success of Belfast and A Haunting in Venice by creating this work.
According to Deadline, McClure has recently joined the film cast, which already includes several well-known actors. Alongside Saoirse Ronan (Comer), Aisha Hart, Gemma Whelan, Patricia Arquette, Michael Sheen, Tom Bateman, Michael Balogun, Kristina Tonteri-Young, and Karla Crome are also part of the project.
Although McClure’s involvement, along with others, has been kept under wraps due to the project’s secrecy, it’s no surprise that specifics about their roles haven’t been shared yet. However, with filming starting up in the UK, we might be hearing more definite information about the project soon.
In the latest Paramount+ series “Insomnia,” McClure, a familiar face from “Line of Duty” and “Broadchurch,” portrays a character who delves into her past as she grapples with insomnia leading up to her 40th birthday.
In a revealing chat with Digital Spy, McClure openly discussed her motivation for being part of the show, stating, “Primarily, it’s something I would have enjoyed watching. Upon reading it, my reaction was, ‘That’s something I would have watched,’ followed by, ‘I wish I could be a part of that.'”
1. I found Sarah Pinborough’s writing to be exceptionally engaging. It’s as if you can’t help but immerse yourself in it, recognizing its well-crafted nature. Moreover, the portrayal of sisterly bond was particularly appealing, being depicted so strongly and significantly in the narrative.
I have a sibling who has a unique bond with me compared to Emma McClure and Phoebe Leanne Best. Nevertheless, she is indispensable in my life, creating an intriguing connection. This dynamic appealed to me, making me feel that I could contribute something valuable to it.
Last year marked my 40th birthday, and as I watched a certain show, I saw a character also turning 40. It struck me, ‘This could be a sign.’ Moreover, the unique tone of this production and the opportunity to portray a character I haven’t embraced in quite some time made it all the more appealing.
