Vicky McClure and Martin Compston have both responded to the news that Line of Duty is coming back. Vicky, who will once again play Kate Fleming in season seven, started the excitement by posting on Instagram on Tuesday, November 18th.

Vicky McClure shared a video with her Line of Duty co-stars Martin Compston and Adrian Dunbar, excitedly announcing the return of the show with the caption: “News that makes you want to dance!! Back with my besties!!!! Line of Duty 7.” Compston, who played Steve Arnott, also shared a photo of the three of them, joking with a famous line from Adrian Dunbar’s character, Ted Hastings: “Now we’re sucking diesel!”

After a lot of rumors, the BBC has officially announced a new series of Line of Duty will begin this week. Filming is scheduled to start in Belfast this spring, but we don’t know exactly when it will air yet.
