Vice Squad Star DEAD at 78
Vice Squad actor Wings Hauser has died aged 78, his devastated wife announced Wednesday.
Over the weekend, Cole Hauser’s productive character actor father, Cali Lili Hauser’s husband, succumbed to natural causes and passed away in her arms.
In a post on Instagram, she shared that movie star Wings Hauser passed away, embraced by his collaborator in films and music, Cali Lili Hauser, at their shared workspace over the weekend.
Raised in Hollywood, proud member of the Academy and equally proud son of Oscar-winning screenwriter, director, and producer Dwight A. Hauser and his loving mother Geraldine T. Hauser, Wings Hauser had an extraordinary career that lasted a span of 58 years in films, television, and music. Working alongside some of the greatest artists in the industry, he earned their respect throughout his legendary career.
Instead of passing on the torch after his latest and forthcoming projects, he desires to pass it to his beloved partner, Cali. His hope is that she will carry on the work, reflecting their bond, their romantic journey, and upholding his legacy.
Gerald Dwight Hauser, who is popularly known as Wings, earned the title ‘a major star yet unknown to many’ because he has been featured in over a hundred movies and TV shows since 1967.

In 1982, his most recognized character portrayal was that of Ramrod, which he played alongside Gary Swanson and Season Hubley in the movie Vice Squad.
Cole Hauser, aged 49, who is his sole son, has stepped into the acting profession just like his father and is famed for his notable character portrayal of Rip Wheeler on the show “Yellowstone.
Hauser also has a daughter, Bright Hauser, from his first marriage to Jane Boltinhouse.
