Version 2.4 “On the Precipice of the Abyss” Pre-Download & Update Notice

Dear Proxies,

Version 2.4 is now available to download before the update officially releases. If you’d like to get a head start, you can download some of the files now, which will let you jump into the game quicker once the maintenance is finished.

[Pre-Download Period]

2025/11/24 12:00 (UTC+8) – 2025/11/26 05:50 (UTC+8)

[Pre-Download Details]

● PC

The pre-download file is about 6 GB.

● Mobile (Android and iOS)

The pre-download file is about 3 GB.

● PS5™ or PS5™ Pro

The pre-download file is about 17 GB.

● Xbox Series X|S

The pre-download file is about 20 GB.

Because the download is quite large, please make sure you have enough free space on your device and use a Wi-Fi connection to avoid data charges.

※ The Voice Pack(s) installed on the client will affect the space required for the pre-download.

[How to Pre-Download]

● PC

Once you open the HoYoPlay Launcher, you’ll see a “Pre-Download” button appear next to the “Start Game” button. Simply click it to start downloading.

※ PC users can continue playing the game during the pre-download.

● Mobile (Android and iOS)

To begin downloading the game’s files, launch the game and tap the “Pre-Download Resources” button located in the bottom-right corner of your screen.

If you’re using a mobile device, you won’t be able to access the game while it’s pre-downloading. Please make sure to start the download when you won’t need to play.

● PS5™ or PS5™ Pro

Once Zenless Zone Zero is released, your device will automatically start downloading the game files if you have enough free storage space, after a short delay.

※ PS5™ or PS5™ Pro users can continue playing the game during the pre-download.

● Xbox Series X|S

Once Zenless Zone Zero is released, if you have enough free space on your device, the game will automatically start downloading in the background after a short delay.

Players using Xbox Series X|S can get Zenless Zone Zero downloaded ahead of time by navigating to the Updates page within the My games & apps section on the system’s home screen.

※ Xbox Series X|S users can continue playing the game during the pre-download.

The game will be temporarily unavailable while our developers update the game to the latest version. You won’t be able to log in during this maintenance. We’ll share more details about the update soon.

[Version Update Time]

2025/11/26 06:00 (UTC+8): We estimate this will take five hours.

We’ll share details about what’s new, improved, and fixed in upcoming updates, including any compensation offered. Stay tuned for more information!

[Version Update Compensation]

Server Update Compensation: Polychrome ×300

To receive compensation for the server update, Proxies must reach Inter-Knot Level 4 before November 26th, 2025, at 6:00 AM (UTC+8).

Once the update is finished, we’ll send you compensation through in-game mail. Be sure to claim it before Version 2.4 ends.

[How to Update]

When the update maintenance begins, players can follow the instructions within the game to update it.

● PC

Exit the game, restart, then select update.

● Android

After entering the game, follow the in-game pop-up instructions to complete the update.

● iOS

Go to the App Store and select update.

● PS5™ or PS5™ Pro

From the PS5 home screen, select Zenless Zone Zero. Then, press and hold the Options button on your controller to check if any updates are available.

● Xbox Series X|S

Okay, so to update Zenless Zone Zero on my Xbox, I just need to go to the dashboard, then find ‘My games & apps’. From there, I click ‘Manage’ and look for Zenless Zone Zero on the ‘Updates’ page. Then I just confirm the update – easy peasy!
