Gaetano Pesce’s pastel-toned “Pescetrullo” has long been on the list of places to visit.

During this time, Italian design brand Vero, originally from Puglia – where the project is based – has led us to that place.

As a gamer immersed in creativity, I collaborated with Mattia Greghi, a talented photographer, to bring our imaginative objects to life. We staged them within the comfort of our home, capturing their playful essence and seamlessly blending them with Pesce’s architectural style – creating a perfect artistic harmony.

The Pescetrullo resides within an olive orchard, nestled between the towns of Ostuni and Carovigno. Architect Pesce worked together with Gabriele Pimpini and Caterina Tognon on its design.

Amidst the quaint “trulli” structures, known for their unique conical tops, lies a vibrant, cubic sight that challenges conventional architecture amidst a region steeped in traditional values.

In a suspended, dreamlike environment, the items by VERO – ranging from vibrant iron chairs, elegant ceramic vases, sleek bookshelves, and intricate geometric components – engage in a dialogue with the very structure of the house itself, as the brand describes it.

The design features clean, robust forms that blend seamlessly with the environment, accentuating its textured surfaces, natural tones, and the striking difference between man-made and natural elements.

Scattered throughout the space are creations from designers such as Atelier Axo, Jamie Wolfond, and Fredrik Paulsen, all of whom have been tasked by Vero at different times to create designs evoking the classic charm of Italian style from past eras.
