Vernon Kay hits back as fans question how he got multiple Oasis tickets as he shares video dancing at Manchester’s Heaton Park after Cardiff gig

Vernon Kay has responded to fans who have expressed curiosity about his acquisition of several tickets for the eagerly awaited Oasis tour.

The radio host, aged 51, has been tagging along with brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher throughout their UK tour since it began earlier this month.

On the fortunate side, Vernon joined the mass of spectators at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff for Oasis’s performance, and he even uploaded clips of his concert experience on Instagram from a show he attended in Manchester over the weekend.

Some music enthusiasts are puzzled about how the TV personality managed to secure tickets for attending two of the band’s reunion concerts, given his celebrity status.

What’s the story behind Vernon having numerous tickets? From Cardiff to Manchester now!”

“How did you manage to go again? You’re so fortunate!

As a diligent follower, I promptly responded, saying, “I’m sorry, but there are no free tickets or guest list available. I’ve purchased mine…” I further emphasized, “I’ve bought them!

On the 4th of July, Liam (age 52) and Noel (age 58) kicked off their Oasis Live ’25 Tour in Cardiff. They played there for two nights, and they are now in the middle of a five-night stretch at Manchester’s Heaton Park.

In the Cardiff video, Vernon donned a blue Oasis bucket hat while walking with the group towards the stadium.

This weekend, the celebrity, wedded to Strictly’s Tess Daly, will be posting a fresh video wearing a black bucket hat and an old-school football jersey, joining in the 80,000 crowd’s song.

He penned: ‘Manchester! Day1. @oasis The excellence continues! Bravo!!’ along with a flame emoji.

On selected occasions, the DJ conducts his Radio 2 program from Heaton Park, where he chats with opening act Cast before their weekend performances.

After encountering unexpected issues with train services, both BBC Radio 2 and Greatest Hits Radio had to quickly adjust their schedules by bringing in substitutes, due to delays affecting Vernon and Ken Bruce.

At 9.30am, Vernon was supposed to start his Radio 2 show, but he didn’t show up because he got stuck on a faulty Chiltern Railways train during the intense heatwave.

Sara Cox, temporarily replacing Scott Mills, assumed control and expanded the Breakfast Show by an additional half hour, clarifying the circumstances to the audience.

The DJ, interestingly enough, shares the same hometown with Vernon (Bolton), expressed his regret as he suddenly realized that he would miss his scheduled reformer Pilates class.

If you’ve recently joined and find Vernon speaking with a bit more masculinity than usual, don’t be alarmed. It’s actually me: Sara, who hails from the same region as him, despite our well-known differences.

In simpler terms, ‘Vernon finds himself stranded in an uncomfortable situation on a sweltering train, lacking coffee, air conditioning, and even deodorant. Hopefully, he’ll disembark at some point.’

In a post on his Instagram Stories, Vernon expressed his frustration about the train malfunction, posting a selfie on the train with the caption: “Train’s not moving. Stuck waiting, @djsaracox please send some deodorant and coffee!

Over time, as delays persisted, Gary Davies stepped in for Sara at 10 am, replacing Vernon, informing the audience: “Originally, I was set to start playing golf by now, but unfortunately, I must postpone it.

Hey there! If you’ve recently joined us and are curious about where Vernon is, let me fill you in. As per his routine, he was on his train as usual when, unfortunately, it conked out on him. This left him stranded in some seriously sweltering heat. To make matters worse, the rescue train that was sent to help also malfunctioned! So, dear fellow fans, let’s keep our fingers crossed and hope for Vernon’s safe journey soon.

He won’t be leaving, and he’s persistently making his way towards us. Can he manage to reach us or not? Please inform me if you see him so I know where he is.

However, not just Vernon was affected by the railway disruption; Ken, a 74-year-old individual, likewise missed the beginning of his segment on his Greatest Hits Radio program as well.

On weekdays, our seasoned host takes charge from 10am to 1pm. However, due to getting stuck on a train earlier, he only arrived at the studio at 11:38 am.

Initially, Simon Ross filled in for about half an hour, explaining that Ken got delayed on a train but is expected to make it in time for PopMaster. Later on, Claire Sturgess took control of the proceedings.
