Vera Wang, 75, Slays Red Carpet in Eye-Popping Gown at BAFTAs
As a lifestyle connoisseur, I found myself gracefully attending the 2025 BAFTAs held at London’s Royal Festival Hall on a sun-kissed Sunday. With an air of timeless elegance, Vera Wang captivated the crowd in a breathtaking strapless gown that perfectly accentuated her ageless allure.
At the yearly film event, the 75-year-old American fashion designer seemed ageless, exuding youthfulness in captivating photos.
Vera turned around to exhibit her stunning gown, characterized by a deep sweetheart neckline that plunged into a nude section, along with an elegant, long white skirt made of silk.
In sheer awe, I couldn’t help but be captivated by her radiant presence in that long gown. Yet, even the legendary style maven knew how to inject some grit, donning a sleek black leather jacket and sporting stylish square sunglasses, creating an unforgettable ensemble.
Upon my arrival at the glamorous award ceremony, I gracefully donned my stylish full outfit, which included an oversized jacket. As the excitement built up, I decided to add a touch of casual chic by shedding off my jacket, revealing my elegant attire beneath – all while beaming with anticipation for the evening ahead.
2025’s EE BAFTA Awards will once again grace our screens for a night filled with unforgettable entertainment, honoring the outstanding movies of the year and the innovative artists who breathe life into them.

As a lifestyle expert, I’m thrilled to share that after a six-year stint, the glittering event has found a new abode in 2023 – the grand Royal Festival Hall at the Southbank Centre. Yes, you heard it right! This star-studded ceremony will once again grace us with its presence at this prestigious location.
The EE BAFTA Film Awards encompass 25 competitive categories which are decided by BAFTA members.
The upcoming event will introduce thrilling novelties, such as a fresh category for Children’s & Family Films. This segment is designed to honor outstanding productions that cater to viewers of all ages.
For the first time in five years, a fresh category will make its debut, introducing the inaugural EE BAFTA Film Award of the past five years.
A fresh change has been implemented in the Outstanding British Film category, which now involves a revised method for voting.
In the Thriller Conclave, a total of 12 nominations were earned, making it the most nominated production in all categories. Meanwhile, Emilia Perez secured herself 11 nominations, and The Brutalist received 9 nominations.
On home ground, Conclave has received double the number of nominations for awards at this year’s BAFTAs compared to what it garnered at the Golden Globes held in Los Angeles last month.
In this gripping drama, Ralph Fiennes, Stanley Tucci, and Isabella Rossellini take center stage in a tale that unfolds around the clandestine selection of a fresh Pope. Here, power struggles, personal aspirations, and hidden truths intersect dramatically among rival cardinals as they engage in cutthroat competition.

The winner of the Golden Globes, the Spanish drama Emilia Perez, has been surpassed in a different awards event, as it came in second place with 11 nominations for the BAFTAs, following its acquisition of 10 awards during the U.S. award ceremony.
Once more, Gladiator 2 has been overlooked by award jurors, as it missed the mark for Best Movie and its principal actor, the talented Irishman Paul Mescal, aged 28, did not advance to the BAFTA shortlist for Best Actor.
62-year-old Demi Moore, who received her first acting award at the Globes for Substance, has been nominated in the Leading Actress category alongside Cynthia Erivo from Wicked and Saoirse Ronan for the Outrun.
Experts within the film community anticipate that Ghost’s actress being listed for the BAFTAs significantly boosts her chances of receiving her initial Oscar.
In other BAFTA nominations, Jeremy Strong and Kieran Culkin from the series Succession are set to compete against each other for the category of Best Supporting Actor. Their notable performances can be seen in ‘A Real Pain’ and the Trump biopic titled ‘The Apprentice.’
Or more informally:
Jeremy Strong and Kieran Culkin from Succession have been nominated in the same BAFTA category for their impressive acting in shows like ‘A Real Pain’ and ‘The Apprentice’, a Trump biopic.
Simultaneously, Adrien Brody’s movie “The Brutalist” has been nominated for nine BAFTAs, while “Dune Part 2” and “Wicked” have each garnered seven nominations.
In the realm of the EE BAFTA Rising Star Award, Marisa Abela takes the front position due to her exceptional performance as Amy Winehouse in the 2024 movie titled “Back To Black.

On Tuesday, the following five candidates were revealed as finalists: Marisa, Jharrel Jerome (also known as Unstoppable), David Jonsson (from Alien: Romulus), Mikey Madison (known for Anora), and Nabhaan Rizwan (starring in In Camera).
Coincidentally, David, Nabhaan and Marisa were all stars of BBC drama Industry.
In her conversation with the Press Association news agency, BAFTA’s chairwoman, Sara Putt, expressed that this year’s BAFTA nomination list showcased an exceptional diversity.
She noted: “Moreover, if you examine the top ten films under ‘Best Film’, I believe you’ll find that there are six distinct genres represented.
In various genres like science fiction, comedy, horror, drama, and even musicals, nominations are coming in. Remarkably, horror films such as Nosferatu, The Substance, and Heretic are among them.
Did you notice? The film collection ranges from ‘Wicked’ to ‘Kneecap’, covering a wide variety of genres and styles. It’s truly fascinating and offers an immense diversity that makes it incredibly intriguing.
Winning this award is often considered a stepping stone toward achieving A-list stardom, with past recipients such as Tom Holland, James McAvoy, Tom Hardy, Lashana Lynch, and Kristen Stewart on the list.
David Tennant will take to the stage to host the BAFTAs for a second year in a row.
The actor, 53, first hosted the awards show last year, taking over from Richard E Grant.

Without a doubt, he’s expected to display his charm and wit after his highly praised first appearance which captivated more than 3.8 million home viewers.
Over 20 million times, the ceremony highlights were watched by fans as they caught up with them via social media platforms.
This year’s BAFTA ceremony won’t see Prince William, who presides over BAFTA, and his wife Catherine gracing the red carpet together as they typically do.
Last year, Kate had to skip the awards as she announced via a video shared on March 22 that she was battling cancer. On the other hand, Prince William graced the red carpet solo during the Baftas.
