Veno shares his unapologetic thoughts following day 1 of Fortnite Globals

As a dedicated Fortnite fan, I can’t help but feel a surge of excitement and anticipation for Veno as he prepares to tackle day two of the Fortnite Globals. Known for his unapologetic candor and clutch play, Veno is no stranger to making waves in the competitive scene.

Preparations are underway for the second and concluding day of the Fortnite Global Championship 2024, where some players aim to build on their success from the previous day, while others hope for a remarkable comeback. In contrast, Veno and Clix are well aware of their strategies as they move forward into day two of Fortnite Globals.

As a fellow gaming enthusiast, I had a chance to sit down and chat with Veno before we dive into day two. He candidly shared his thoughts about the first day of competition, expressing how he felt it unfolded for him.

Veno talks the current state of Fortnite during the Global Championship

As a seasoned Fortnite gamer, I’m known for my sharp skills and ability to pull off clutch moments when they matter most – Veno can vouch for that. However, what sets me apart isn’t just my gaming prowess; it’s also my uncensored opinions about the game and the competition. I don’t shy away from expressing how I truly feel, come rain or shine.

After wrapping up his day one performance at the Fortnite Globals, finishing in 13th place, I managed to secure a private conversation with the player.

In a private conversation about the opening day’s events, Veno remarked, “We were in fifth place until the final two matches,” he explained. “Our play was strong, but honestly, the game was quite dull.

Following a string of criticisms concerning the current competitive landscape of Fortnite, there has been widespread discussion within the competitive community.

“This isn’t competitive in the least. In my previous Global event, every zone maxed out. During every scrim last season, we always ended up at Castle Doom, moving through the building during the endgame. I can hardly believe it, as we haven’t encountered a single game like that yet.

Does this raise the query as to whether the participants are getting appropriate competitive training for these major tournaments?

In every match I play, the zone seems to move towards the south. There have only been about three instances where it moved to the upper-right corner, and I managed well in those games, but every single game features a full pull of the zone.

Regardless of the unfavorable circumstances in the zones, Clix and Veno have managed to adjust effectively throughout the competition, maintaining their position among the top 15 competitors.

So, can the duo hold onto this confidence going into day two?

For Veno and Clix, it’s clear they recognize the significance of today’s 1.5x multiplier in the system, which they aim to take full advantage of.

Veno stated, “Without the bonus points, I’d definitely assert that Peterbot and Pollo are about to win this competition. However, I plan to review our past games and determine any adjustments needed for day two. Initially, I had certain strategies in mind, but only when we faced strong competition did I realize I would need to alter my plans.

But how does Veno feel playing on NA over the last few months?

Veno expressed his opinion that EU pros generally excel more when playing the last FNCS Major on NA servers with Clix, stating that it’s simpler to engage opponents. However, he noted that scrimmages like Globals may be less challenging than FNCS, as players from weaker regions are participating, making it easier to eliminate them.

As we move into day two, Veno and Clix accumulate a combined total of 168 points, placing them just 10 points shy of 10th place. Can this dynamic duo close the gap and take the lead in the standings? Given their talent, it’s certainly possible.
