The VCT Pacific Stage 2 Finals offer a chance for Tokyo to see top-tier VALORANT teams prior to Champs.

This weekend, it’s been officially confirmed that the VCT Pacific Stage 2 Grand Finals will be held in Tokyo. Riot Games made this announcement via their social media platforms today. The VCT Pacific Stage 2 event marks the conclusion of the season before the VCT Champions, and it’s scheduled for July 2025.

VCT Pacific Stage 2 Grand Finals to take place in Tokyo

Riot Games announced that the VCT Pacific Stage 2 Finals weekend will happen in Tokyo, one of four international leagues starting after the Toronto Masters. The International League Stage 2 begins on July 12 and concludes on August 15. Playoffs for this stage will occur from August 16 to 29, with a portion taking place in Tokyo, Japan.

Last year, Riot unveiled the 2025 VALORANT esports schedule. The initial tournament of the year, called “The Kickoff,” commences on January 11th. The highest-ranking teams from each “Kickoff” will secure a spot for Masters Bangkok. The second Masters event is scheduled in Toronto during June.

Following every Masters tournament, an International League ensues. The initial league commences in March and extends through May, following the Bangkok Masters event. The second league begins on July 12 immediately post the Toronto Masters 2025.

In the second phase of the International League, there will be four LAN tournaments, one for each region. Previous results from Stage 1 won’t matter, offering all teams a clean slate. The top four teams from each tournament will advance to Champions. This consists of the first and second-place finishers from each league, as well as the two remaining spots which are decided based on Championship Points.

Fans excited for Tokyo LAN

It’s not the first time that an event featuring VALORANT takes place in Tokyo. Back in 2023, Tokyo was the location of the Tokyo Masters, which attracted a huge crowd of global fans. The news about the venue for the International League Stage 2 finals has been met with enthusiasm from VALORANT fans everywhere.

Paper Rex hinted at a future partnership related to the Tokyo reveal from Riot Games, which they recently announced.

2025 VCT Championships are happening in Paris this year, showcasing top VALORANT teams worldwide. The latest update 10.0 introduces a new agent called Tejo, who uses ballistic missiles extensively to take over the map. Tejo’s ultimate and other abilities grant him significant control over an area, providing strategic insights to his entire team.
