VCT EMEA outlines plan to solve ongoing technical issues
The persistent technical problems have sparked worries among players, and now, VCT EMEA (Valorant Champions Tour Europe and Asia) has publicly acknowledged these issues and plans to address them directly.
2025 VCT EMEA Stage 1: A series of technical glitches disrupted matches, causing frequent and lengthy interruptions. As both spectators and skilled players expressed increasing exasperation over long-standing troubles, the organizers eventually listened. Recognizing the community’s concerns, they vowed to make necessary changes. This time, they kept their promise.
VCT EMEA plans to fix the technical issues
On April 28th, the verified VCT EMEA account shared an article detailing their strategies to address the persistent technical problems in the tournament. After the match disruptions that occurred on April 26th, the organization started putting its team into action, preparing a sequence of solutions to rectify the issues.
On April 29th, Daniel “Stupendous” Ringland, the head of VCT EMEA, posted a photo on X showing his team working to upgrade the arena and address technical problems. In his caption, he stated that the day went smoothly, as they set up improved computer systems and ran gameplay tests across various maps without encountering any unforeseen difficulties.
Apart from his other points, he emphasized that the toughest hurdle is yet to be faced. Many are tirelessly working around the clock to ensure everything functions smoothly for everyone. The true trial, though, is imminent as professional teams will join us on-site tomorrow to test our new infrastructure with their own equipment. This will help us gauge the confidence of the setup by replicating a real-game experience. Daniel further shared that additional official updates are due to be released tomorrow, specifically April 30th.
Compensation for the fans
A large number of enthusiasts journeyed and splurged on lodging and meals to witness their preferred squads compete on April 26. - Ticket to VCT Champions Grand Finals
- 2x Tickets to VCT EMEA
- Riot Games Merch voucher for €300 (~ USD 341)
- Riot Gun Buddy
