At last, I’m heading to the Riot Games Arena for the long-awaited VCT Ascension EMEA! I can hardly wait to join the crowd and witness my favorite teams battling it out in person. And
Six fierce competitors will take center stage, showcasing their skills in a unique two-seeded GSL group format that will lead to the highly anticipated Ascension Games. Each of these games will be a thrilling best-of-five matchup, with the victorious teams securing a spot in VCT EMEA 2026! The excitement doesn’t end there – every single game will unfold live on stage, promising an unforgettable experience for gaming enthusiasts like me. Let the games begin!
The tournament adopts a double-elimination system, meaning it’s played in two phases: each match is a best-of-three series initially, and as the competition progresses, the Lower Bracket Final and Grand Final will be intense best-of-five matches. In these final rounds, the winner will earn the title of Ascension champion and secure a prime position in VCT EMEA for the upcoming season.
Currently, only BBL PCIFIC and Enterprise Esports have secured spots for the VCT Ascension 2025, with numerous other opportunities available. However, Apeks and Gentle Mates have been demoted from VCT EMEA due to not qualifying for Champions 2025 and failing to meet the standards for Ascension. Consequently, their positions will be given to the fifth and sixth highest-ranked teams in Ascension Points. In the upcoming year, the tournament will welcome two fresh teams to the VCT EMEA.
