Vanessa Kirby Stuns in Black Bardot Gown at BAFTAs
At the 2025 BAFTA awards held at London’s Royal Festival Hall on Sunday, Vanessa Kirby appeared otherworldly in a sleek black bardot dress as she graced the event.
36-years-old, I was the sensational star of The Crown, walking the glittering red carpet, stealing glances from all as if I were royalty myself. Later that night, it was my privilege to grace the stage and present an award, a moment I will forever cherish as an obsessed fan.
The woman born in London embodied grace in the sleek, strapless dress boasting a daringly high thigh-slit, drawing attention to her delicate neckline and well-toned legs.
Vanessa added a bit more height with her stylish laced-up heels, and adorned herself with sparkling diamond earrings and a coordinating ring.
As a devoted admirer, I, with my cascading, voluminous blonde hairdo, shared the limelight with the esteemed Orlando Bloom onstage to bestow the Supporting Actor Award.
The 2025 EE British Academy Film Awards is back for an extraordinary evening filled with excitement, honoring the finest films of the year and the remarkable artists who breathe life into them.

The victor surpassed Emilia Perez, the Spanish drama that garnered the most Golden Globe nominations with 11, having previously won 10 awards at a U.S. award show, as it received the highest number of BAFTA nominations instead.
Once more, the judges of Awards have overlooked Gladiator 2, as it wasn’t recognized in the Best Film category, and the talented Irish actor, Paul Mescal, aged 28, didn’t make it to the list of nominees for BAFTA’s Best Actor.
Demi Moore, aged 62, who received her debut acting award at the Globes for her work in Substance, has been nominated for the Leading Actress category. This nomination places her alongside Cynthia Erivo, at 38 years old and a star from Wicked, as well as Saoirse Ronan, a 30-year-old actress, for the Outrun award.
Movie experts think that being listed for the BAFTAs gives The Ghost actress a better chance at earning her initial Oscar.
In other BAFTA nominations, Jeremy Strong and Kieran Culkin from the series Succession are set to compete against each other in the category of Supporting Actor. Their respective performances, one in a show titled “A Real Pain” and the other in a production based on Donald Trump’s life, “The Apprentice,” have earned them these nominations.
Simultaneously, Adrien Brody’s movie, “The Brutalist,” has garnered nine nominations at the BAFTAs. This is followed by “Dune Part 2” and “Wicked,” each receiving seven nominations.
In the EE BAFTA Rising Star Award category, Marisa Abela takes the front-runners’ position due to her outstanding performance as Amy Winehouse in the 2024 movie titled “Back To Black.
The winning title surpassed Emilia Perez, the Golden Globes’ top winner, which garnered 11 BAFTA nominations, making it second in number of nominations. Previously, it had won 10 awards at the U.S. award show.

As a connoisseur of all things lifestyle-related, I must express my dismay at the recent snubbing of “Gladiator 2” by award judges. The film, which has garnered immense acclaim and appreciation from audiences worldwide, was overlooked for the prestigious Best Film accolade.
Moreover, our talented Irish leading man, Paul Mescal, aged 28, whose exceptional performance left many spellbound, surprisingly did not make the BAFTA longlist for Best Actor. This oversight has left us all wondering if the judges truly grasped the depth and brilliance of his portrayal on the big screen.
62-year-old Demi Moore, who received her initial acting award at the Globes for her role in Substance, has been nominated as a Lead Actress contender together with Cynthia Erivo from Wicked (age 38) and Saoirse Ronan (age 30), for the Outrun awards.
Movie experts think that being nominated for a BAFTA could increase the likelihood of “Ghost” actress receiving her first Academy Award.
In other BAFTA nominations, Jeremy Strong and Kieran Culkin from Succession are set to compete against each other in the category of Supporting Actor. They were nominated for their roles in “A Real Pain” and the film about Donald Trump’s life, titled “The Apprentice.”

Competing against one another in the BAFTA nominations for Best Supporting Actor are Jeremy Strong and Kieran Culkin from Succession. They were both recognized for their performances in the shows “A Real Pain” and the film “The Apprentice,” a portrayal of Donald Trump’s life.
Simultaneously, Adrien Brody’s movie The Brutalist earned nine BAFTA nominations, while Dune 2 and Wicked each garnered seven nominations.
In the EE BAFTA Rising Star Award category, Marisa Abela is at the forefront of nominees due to her impressive performance as Amy Winehouse in the movie “Back To Black” released in 2024.
On Tuesday, the finalists were revealed to be Marisa, Jharrel Jerome, David Jonsson from “Alien: Romulus”, Mikey Madison from “Anora”, and Nabhaan Rizwan from “In Camera”.

Coincidentally, David, Nabhaan and Marisa were all stars of BBC drama Industry.
In simpler terms, Sara Putt, who is the head of BAFTA (British Academy of Film and Television Arts), expressed that the nominated list for this year’s BAFTAs was exceptionally diverse.
She noted: “Moreover, when examining the top ten films under ‘Best Film’, it seems that there are six distinct genre categories represented.
In various genres such as science fiction, comedy, horror, drama, and even musicals, there are multiple nominations. Remarkably, among the horror films, Nosferatu, The Substance, and Heretic are all receiving nominations.
Oh my goodness! Can you believe it? The collection of movies, spanning from the enchanting “Wicked” to the hilarious “Kneecap”, is simply astounding! With such a diverse range, from soulful ballads to uproarious tunes, it’s a list that truly showcases depth and breadth. Frankly, I can hardly contain my excitement!
The honor is considered a stepping stone towards achieving A-list fame; past recipients include Tom Holland, James McAvoy, Tom Hardy, Lashana Lynch, and Kristen Stewart.
David Tennant will take to the stage to host the BAFTAs for a second year in a row.
The actor, 53, first hosted the awards show last year, taking over from Richard E Grant.
Without a doubt, he’s expected to showcase his charm and wit after receiving rave reviews for his first appearance, which was viewed by more than 3.8 million households.
As a devoted fan, I’m thrilled to share that over 20 million times, the captivating highlights from the ceremony were viewed by fellow enthusiasts, engaging in a shared experience across various social media platforms.
This year, Prince William, who serves as the head of BAFTA, typically appears with Kate at the red carpet event. However, it’s unlikely that the Welsh couple will show up for this year’s ceremony.
Last year, Kate was unable to attend the awards as she announced in a video message on March 22 that she had been diagnosed with cancer weeks prior. On the same occasion, Prince William graced the red carpet solo at the Baftas.
