Vanessa Feltz reveals Ruth Langsford ‘can’t be bothered’ to look for love and they ‘leave men out of it’ on nights out after her split from Eamonn Holmes
As a lifestyle expert with years of experience under my belt, I can wholeheartedly relate to Vanessa Feltz and Ruth Langsford‘s sentiments about relationships. After going through my fair share of ups and downs in my own love life, I find solace and laughter in the simple pleasure of female camaraderie.
Vanessa Feltz shared that she and her recently single friend Ruth Langsford aren’t keen on looking for a new partner, following Ruth’s separation from her husband Eamonn Holmes earlier this year.
In an interview with TopMob, the 62-year-old broadcaster shared some details about her bond with Ruth, revealing that they tend to exclude men when they go out socially.
Last year when Vanessa parted ways with Ben Ofoedu, she was questioned about whether Ruth was now acting as her confidante or companion, following her appearance at Ruth’s book launch.
As a committed companion, I’m not sure about our mutual inclination right now. However, it seems more appealing to us to venture out, share some hearty laughter, and enjoy each other’s company without the presence of men.
When asked about her intentions to start dating again, Vanessa replied, ‘I’m not sure, honestly. I’m giving it my all, so let’s put it that way. I’ve dabbled in the world of dating, and time will tell what the outcome is.’
Before the launch of her upcoming autobiography titled “Vanessa Bares All”, LBC’s popular host confessed that there were certain aspects about her life she chose to reveal in the book, which left even herself feeling surprised.
She found it quite unusual that writing an autobiography required such intense self-focus, making oneself seem incredibly interesting, a trait she finds intriguing herself. There are no limits set in this endeavor, not even she is prepared for what she’s uncovering as she writes it.
Reflecting on the past seems to unearth various aspects you’ve been trying to distance yourself from. Some memories bring a sense of relief after they’re put into words, while others may cause a momentary dip in mood. Occasionally, these recollections can even trigger laughter. Additionally, they might resurface long-forgotten adventures that have significantly impacted your life. It’s an intriguing exercise, one I strongly suggest giving a try.
In May it emerged Eamonn and Ruth had split after 14 years of marriage and would divorce.
There were signs of strain in their partnership, as it had been two long years since they were last seen in a photograph together.
The well-known television personality has been in a relationship with counselor Katie Alexander, aged 42, since his separation from Ruth. He’s been straightforward about his new companion.
It became clear that Eamonn was thoroughly delighted with his latest relationship when they took a lavish vacation together during the summer.
In 2012, as reported by The Sun, the presenter initially exchanged playful messages with his new partner on social networking platforms.
At the given moment, both the TV host and the relationship counselor were tied in matrimony. Their initial exchanges involved George, who was then their respective spouse.
Originally, Katie’s ex-spouse playfully suggested that his current spouse might be showing interest in Eamonn. However, since they are both passionate supporters of Manchester United, he added humorously: “It’s a good thing we’re both Red.” In simpler terms, the joke was that it didn’t matter if there was flirting because they both support the same football team.
According to a source, it was common knowledge that Eamonn and Katie had connected through social media, but what was unknown was the depth and length of their relationship.
‘Ruth will be shocked they were in contact 12 years ago. I don’t think she would have known.’
After Ruth openly discussed her feelings of heartache during her divorce with Woman & Home, it was clear that while heartbreak itself terrified her, her primary concern was her son Jack, who is 22 years old, potentially experiencing the same pain.
When asked what she ‘wants most in life’, Ruth confessed: ‘Happiness. Happiness for my son, Jack.
When your kids are born, it’s natural to desire that their lives are filled with goodness, that they experience happiness, and that their tender hearts remain unscathed by pain or heartache.
‘You can’t guarantee any of that, but that’s what I want most for Jack.’
Ruth not only has a partner in Jack but also serves as a stepmother to Declan, aged 35, Rebecca, who is 32, and Niall, at 30, who are all children of Eamonn’s previous marriage with his ex-wife Gabrielle.
