Vanessa Feltz, 62, reveals she threw herself out of a moving taxi the moment she found out her ex-fiancé Ben Ofoedu, 51, was cheating

Vanessa Feltz shared that, upon discovering her former fiancee Ben Ofoedu was unfaithful, she jumped out of a moving cab.
16 years ago, the presenter, who is now 62, separated from her partner, a 51-year-old singer, in February of last year. This was after she found out that he had been untrue to their relationship.
At this point, Vanessa remembers the instance when he disclosed the heart-wrenching information to her, as they were riding in a cab en route to a gathering in Waterloo, which used to be their shared location.
At a family dinner, she confronted him in the vehicle afterward, as her daughters Saskia and Allegra disclosed to her that they received information from an internet bully suggesting Ben was unfaithful.
According to Vanessa, she shared with The Mirror that “he was speaking in a confused manner, struggling to find the right words. I couldn’t comprehend what he was saying as it seemed to lack coherence.
‘I couldn’t stand another second. I couldn’t bear it. I opened the door of the moving taxi and jumped.
Originally, my jacket got ripped. There was blood flowing from a wound on my arm. I thought he might pull over the taxi and check if I was still alive after jumping. However, he didn’t do that.
Instead, it’s said that he accidentally sent her a sequence of messages intended for another woman and later uploaded photos of his nightlife activities on social media.
In a different part of the conversation, Vanessa acknowledged that Ben, who is currently in a relationship with Precious Muir (age 33), was last seen by her.
It became public knowledge that the musician and reality TV personality Precious were in a relationship back in December, and more recently, at a gathering, he was heard referring to her as “my future spouse.
In August, Vanessa openly confessed that she struggles to cope with the ‘lonely isolation’ that comes with being single after breaking up with Ben.
After the split, the star has remained solo, going on numerous outings with other individuals, many of which seem to not have resulted in success.
In her article for the Express, Vanessa openly confessed that she’s grappled with feelings of loneliness following years spent in a relationship.
She expressed: “Having vacationed in Spain with my grandkids has been incredibly fortunate, yet coming back to an unoccupied home following days filled with joy and merriment feels quite dreary.
As a single individual, I find myself unwillingly sailing these waters alone. I strive to gather the courage, yet I can’t help but feel discomfort with this state. The stark difference between the constant companionship of family life and the isolating solitude is challenging to traverse. My heart resonates deeply with those navigating similar seas.
In her latest interview for the Suddenly Single podcast, Vanessa revealed that she’s experienced some disheartening dating encounters recently.
She expressed: ‘When you find yourself on an unpleasant date with little conversation or connection, it’s far from enjoyable. You both stare at each other, and when the date ends and you return home, it can be challenging… It can make you feel somewhat less than before.’
‘You don’t feel attractive, you don’t feel what you said is funny. You don’t feel wanted.’
Vanessa, who found her last date disastrous, shows no inclination towards exploring the realm of internet dating.
She said: ‘I’ve never swiped in my life – I reckon I’d end up in the papers in about two or three seconds.’
Vanessa even tried her luck on Celebs Go Dating but sadly didn’t mean The One.
She described the experience as follows: ‘It was extremely challenging, yet I stayed optimistic, only somewhat so… If you had asked me under oath, Vanessa, whether you genuinely believe they will find your Prince Charming for you, I likely would have responded negatively.’
Last year, it appears that the presenter uncovered a series of communications between Ben – be it on social media or emails – with multiple women.
In a post to her Instagram followers earlier this year, she mentioned that she has expressed numerous times her discomfort with solitude and being unattached.
Since the start of January 2023, I haven’t spent a single night indoors. Instead, I’ve been out each day, as I’ve found it uncomfortable being alone at home and haven’t quite felt at ease to stay in.
‘Well guess what, tonight’s the night – oh yes! I’m going to do supper, I’m going to eat it.’
“I’m planning on relaxing with a cozy, steamy bath, followed by some television time, which I’m looking forward to.
This represents advancement. I’ve spent quite a substantial amount of time, almost incomprehensible really, to reach this point – close to 400 nights in all.
Tonight, it seems I’m making an exception, which suggests I’m feeling much more relaxed tonight. Thankfully, that’s the case.
In the past year, everyone has been incredibly kind and extraordinarily supportive. I truly appreciate it from the bottom of my heart; it’s made a significant difference in my life.
She ended the video by saying, ‘That sounds like a wonderful plan: dinner in front of the TV followed by a bath. I’m looking forward to it,’ and then she signed off with ‘lots of affection.’
