Vanderpump Rules star Scheana Shay admits she once had a ‘sleepover’ with Reese Witherspoon’s ex Ryan Phillippe
As someone who has lived through the glitz and glamour of Hollywood, I find myself captivated by the intriguing tales that emerge from Tinseltown. The story of Scheana Shay and her platonic sleepover with Ryan Phillippe is just another fascinating chapter in this grand book of celebrity encounters.
In her younger years, Scheana Shay confessed to spending the night at Ryan Phillippe’s place (who was previously married to Reese Witherspoon) under the term ‘sleepover’.
In my latest Scheananigans podcast episode, I reminisced about spending some quality time with the captivating Ryan Phillippe, who happened to be unattached at the time we met on a Friday.
I met Shay for the first time through my roommate, who was in a relationship with Jesse Bradford, a pal of Philippe’s.
The television celebrity, who is wedded to Brock Davies, unequivocally stated that there was no romantic involvement between them; rather, they maintained a friendship.
Still, she said they did have a platonic sleepover, when she was either 22 or 23.
Shay noted this was before Phillippe entered his long-term relationship with Witherspoon, 48.
In 1997, they first crossed paths at a 21st birthday celebration, and their union lasted for a span of seven years. This is the duo who gained fame as the Legally Blonde star and her partner.
Phillippe and Witherspoon split in October 2006 and issued a joint statement at the time.
It’s with regret that I share the news: Reese and Ryan have chosen to part ways officially. They continue to prioritize their loved ones and request your understanding and consideration for their family’s privacy, especially the well-being of their kids during this period.
Originally, this pair has a daughter named Ava, who is 24, and a son Deacon, aged 20. Despite their past relationship, they’ve managed to maintain a friendly parenting partnership throughout the years.
Witherspoon went on to marry Jim Toth and welcome son Tennessee, 11.
She and Toth announced their split in March 2023.
As a lifestyle enthusiast, I’d like to share an intriguing personal detail about the talented actor from “Prey”. Unlike many in the limelight, he chose not to walk down the aisle again after parting ways. On the ninth season of Vanderpump Rules, it was documented that Davies proposed to Shay, as they discussed marriage during the same weekend when Kennedy and Leviss held an engagement party. (Later, James Kennedy and Rachel Leviss ended their relationship.)
In February, Shay informed the U.S. that the couple was opting for a more intimate wedding to minimize expenses, however, they struggled with deciding who not to include in the guest list.
As an overly enthusiastic admirer, I’m still deciding the perfect venue and timing for this event, carefully considering who to extend invitations to and who might need to stay home due to limited space. With a rather expansive family tree, it’s essential to maintain intimacy in this gathering.
As a passionate admirer with a vast circle of companions, I must admit, there might be instances where not everyone is extended an invitation. I sincerely hope no feelings are hurt in the process, but it’s crucial to remember that these occasions are primarily about satisfying our shared enthusiasm and joy.
