Vanderpump Rules’ new stars reveal the legacies that reached out after dramatic cast takeover

For eleven years, they were the stars of Bravo, but eventually a new group of servers was brought in to take their place.

Okay, so, like, I’ve been watching Vanderpump Rules FOREVER, and it just feels SO wrong that they basically replaced Ariana, Tom, Lala, James, Tom, and Katie! I mean, those were the OG cast members, the ones we all fell in love with (or loved to hate!), and now they’ve brought in a whole new group of people. It’s just… not the same. Seriously, it feels like they’re trying to erase the history of the show, and I’m not okay with it!

With the show now having new actors, people are curious if the previous cast has connected with the new one.

Stars recently told The Daily Mail at the 2025 Vanderpump Dog Gala which former cast members have contacted them since their departures, and shared details of those conversations.

Everyone—including Venus Binkley, Marcus Johnson, Audrey Lingle, Natalie Maguire, Kim Suarez, and Demy Selem—has been very happy with the positive feedback they’ve received from those involved in the project’s history.

One man whose name kept coming up was Tom Schwartz.  

Tom Schwartz is a close friend of mine. He stopped by our viewing party recently, and we enjoyed some Old Fashioneds and tequila. He’s also been giving me some good advice, as always. He’s really a great guy.

Schwartz told Johnson to remain optimistic and calm, encouraging him to ‘go with the flow,’ be authentic, and not get discouraged by negativity, but instead focus on the positive opportunities ahead.

Suarez also spoke highly of Schwartz, calling the TomTom co-owner ‘so kind and generous’.

She always heard positive things about the alumni, noting they were consistently kind and generous when they connected with others.

Whenever I’ve heard from former cast members, they’ve always been incredibly kind and giving, according to her.

Schwartz had also recently hung out with Binkley, who gushed about his time with the star.  

‘I was with Tom Schwartz yesterday. He’s amazing.’

Lingle agreed: ‘He’s so sweet. He’s like, the sweetest guy.’

I spotted Stassi Schroder at the gala, and it was great to see her showing support for the Vanderpump Rules crew. It really highlighted the strong bonds within that group, even with everything going on.

I just met Stassi, and she was incredibly kind! She told us to ‘keep killing it,’ saying we were doing an amazing job and to really enjoy everything. It was such a great moment!

But Lingle made a point to note they haven’t heard from everyone. 

Lingle explained that while some people have contacted them, others haven’t. They appreciate the positive feedback they’ve received from those who did reach out, as it’s been very encouraging.

Natalie Maguire, the newest cast member, was already acquainted with Scheana Shay, a former cast member, and had spoken with Kristen Doute before joining the show.

‘I’m friendly with Scheana, Kristen has reached out,’ she said.

The eleventh season of Vanderpump Rules finished in May 2024, leaving the cast divided after the dramatic breakup between Ariana Madix and Tom Sandoval.

The group of friends and colleagues split into opposing sides after news of Tom’s romantic involvement with Rachel Leviss became public.

The 7th annual Vanderpump Dog Gala was held at The Maybourne Hotel in Beverly Hills.

The Vanderpump Dog Foundation’s annual gala, a fundraiser for their animal rescue and rehabilitation work, drew a crowd of celebrities including Lance Bass, Trixie Mattel, Garcelle Beauvais, and Jon Lovitz.
