‘Vanderpump Rules’ alum James Kennedy arrested in Burbank on suspicion of domestic violence

'Vanderpump Rules' alum James Kennedy arrested in Burbank on suspicion of domestic violence

As a movie buff with a penchant for reality TV and a soft spot for stories of redemption, I find myself torn by the latest developments surrounding James Kennedy. On one hand, I’ve been following his journey on “Vanderpump Rules” since its early seasons, witnessing his highs (the DJ gigs, the friendships) and lows (the drama, the heartbreak). His transformation from a supporting character to a mainstay, despite the occasional stumbles along the way, was a testament to the enduring power of reality TV.

On Tuesday, James Kennedy, who is known as a disc jockey and has been a regular on the Bravo show “Vanderpump Rules” for some time, was taken into custody in Burbank due to allegations of a minor domestic violence offense.

The 32-year-old reality TV personality (full name James Kennedy Georgiou) was arrested after officers arrived at a residence in the area around 11:30 p.m., responding to a call about an argument between a man and a woman, a Burbank Police Department spokesperson said in a statement to The Times.

According to the spokesperson, they found out that it was a case within the home, which resulted in the arrest of Mr. Georgiou.

For Season 12, ‘Vanderpump Rules’ is set to introduce a fresh group of characters. Some enthusiasts have expressed concerns that a reboot might miss the magic the series initially possessed.

Reportedly by TMZ, Kennedy was detained under suspicion of a minor domestic violence offense. After posting a $20,000 bond, he was released. The Burbank City Attorney’s Office is currently investigating the matter, with charges yet to be officially filed.

A representative for Kennedy did not immediately respond to The Times’ request for comment.

Kennedy became a part of the “Vanderpump Rules” cast on Bravo in the year following its premiere in 2013. Since then, he has been featured in over 190 episodes, as per IMDb. He is one of the original stars who will be saying goodbye to the series as it undergoes a cast change prior to Season 12.

This season, the show provided a deep insight into handling situations similar to being left out or overlooked, which seems to happen to many people in Los Angeles at some point.

As Bravo’s declaration in November unfolded, I found myself penning an emotional post on Instagram, “This feels like a mixed farewell.” However, the anticipation for my life beyond the realm of reality TV ignited a spark within me. Since then, I’ve been fully immersed in my career as a DJ, exploring new beats and rhythmic journeys.

Kennedy, who was formerly attached to Rachel Leviss (a prominent figure in the notorious “VPR” infidelity drama), is currently seeing astrology enthusiast Ally Lewber. It remains uncertain if Lewber had any connection to the events that transpired on Tuesday.

Prior to his subsequent arrest, both “VPR” alum and Lewber were in attendance at Kathy Hilton, a star from “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,” during her holiday gathering, as reported by TMZ.
