Vampire Survivors: Ode to Castlevania DLC Announced For Halloween Release
As a longtime aficionado of both Castlevania and Vampire Survivors, I can hardly contain my excitement for this impending crossover! The thought of wielding Alucard’s sword or Sypha’s magical staff while fending off hordes of Mudmen and Fleamen is simply intoxicating.
The developer, poncle, has announced that the upcoming downloadable content (DLC) for the fast-paced reverse bullet hell game, Vampire Survivors: Ode to Castlevania, is set to release next week. This expansion will introduce over 20 new characters and approximately 40 weapons, with eight of those weapons being whips.
As a fervent admirer, I eagerly anticipate the next exciting addition to the Konami universe, which promises another thrilling crossover with Contra DLC coming in May. This upcoming release boasts an impressive collection of over 30 new music tracks and introduces the grandest stage yet – Dracula’s imposing castle. Surprisingly, despite its focus on the bloodthirsty undead, you won’t find a single vampire lurking in the shadows!
In your adventure, you’ll encounter the murky Mudmen, spooky ghosts, and fierce Fleamen. Joining you in this battle will be the Belmont family: Simon, Richter, Trevor, and Sonia, along with the Belnade family: Sypha, Yoko, and a multitude of legendary witches. Notable allies include Charlotte Aulin, Maria Renard, and others.
Anticipate the arrival of magical weapons akin to Alucard’s sword, spear, shield, and the like, accompanied by elemental spells, novel projectiles, glyphs, and much more, when the ‘Ode to Castlevania’ DLC drops for the game Vampire Survivors on Xbox, PlayStation, Switch, PC, and mobile platforms starting 31st October. The cost will be $3.99/£2.99/€3.99.
